So Much respect for Cowdenbeath FC. An absolute tribute to the game in the British Isles. From an AFC Bournemouth Fan

I am Brazilian. I knew Cowdenbeath (and their nickname) from football manager and had a big interest in this stadium because it is very rare a football ground has a race track around it. I am very glad there is a documentary about it that satisfies my curiosity further. Grassroots Scottish football is fantastic and I hope you keep it that way. Hope also Central Park lives much longer and isn't substituted by a "modern stadium" that just look like any other

Loved this video, well put together. As an ex player with many happy memories and part of a promotion winning team, the place holds a very special place in my heart. I visited the stadium only a few weeks back., as was working in the area. To stand on the pitch once more and look out toward the terracing brought goose bumps. A great wee club with amazing loyal supporters. This video sums that up perfectly. Colin Scott 💙⚽️

Pars fan here - nice film man, much respect, really enjoyed it. It'll be a very sad day when/if Cowden leave Central Park - have seen the Pars play there a couple of times and it was a great experience to see a game in one of the true remnants of Scottish football history. It embodies what so much of modern football has forgotten - that fans neither need nor (on the whole) want fancy facilities, overpriced food and perfect views. they just need a place to stand and a game to watch. Respect.

Years ago, travelled with my mates up to Scotland watching a pre-season tour of our English team, Rochdale. During the days we went to visit lots of grounds. When we visited Central Park one quiet Wednesday afternoon, we got speaking to one of the staff there and he was so enthusiastic about the club and football, and very welcoming to us as fans of a club fighting against the "big brands" up the road. Always had a soft spot for Cowden after that and delighted to see your 2 recent survivals. Get it together, fire up the leagues and don't do a Shire!

first rate, emotive and highly proffessional. it really gets to the heart of what matters. clubs at the heart of communities, cared for win, lose or draw. A football club is not a play thing for the wealthy, it is for its people.

@MrShedboy1909 The stadium may be be shit and have a a pathetic wooden stand but do the Cowden fans care?? NO!! Cowdenbeath FC embraces the community spirit in us all...young or old and I have to say I felt very patriotic watching this brilliant short film. Had goosepimples from start to finish. Whatever division they have been in, the supporters have stood firm and supported the club through the good and the bad. That means more to a club than a fancy stadium. That's a true suppporter!!

Its a shame that people don't support their local team ahead of the Premiership teams, as the competition comes from having strong leagues. England has strength with this as Bournemouth have shown coming through the leagues without throwing huge money into the club. Rangers are back, and they should be in the Prem, but clubs in the lower leagues should have bigger crowds and help do it like Gretna, minus the huge financial backing. Communities sustain football clubs, far ahead of one rich man. From a PNE fan

I'm a motherwell supporter and every other motherwell supporter I know lives in motherwell the only two teams in Scotland that don't have local supporters are celtic and rangers, most teams in the top league here get smaller crowds than league 2 in england

Dave Wilding it's not the people who are to blame, because the top clubs generate millions and that means more revenue in taxes, so the public are more likely to spend it watching teams with far better facilities and players! The govt. have allowed smaller clubs to dust with these issue: having to pay higher wages, to bridge the gap with sides in higher leagues, because clubs like Hearts could buy a player for next to nothing now and so transfer fees no longer sustain any club! Rents have gone up, but with less fans watching, because of the above issues and the fact that admissions have increased too, all puts clubs at risk of going bust! Social situations affect the fans as well, so football becomes lesser of a priority to them and it's the govt. who dictate those things too. If people like Gordon Brown cared, he'd try to lesser the burden on clubs and actually make each smaller club part of the community, by giving the ground to the club on a 200 year lease and with the option to buy! These clubs differ from the rest, because they don't make a profit and the above aspects are only to secure their existence. An 8 pounds admission would interest more fans and then the club could be used to become the centre of activity for the community. All of that requires help from the local authorities and Gretna proved that to gamble is a crazy thing to do!

mfc1886 Those clubs have smaller populations than main cities and towns and the other issues I raised in my answer to that other person also compounds the problems which all less powerful clubs now face. The only result is that clubs will fall further into lower leagues, until they finish playing in parks and then forgotten forever!

I'm a Celtic fan living in Leicester. What a delightful documentary which is a tribute to real football fans and community. I used to talk of Cows and Beef and also Stenhouse Manure (sorry lol). I'll keep an eye out in future for your results and wish you all the very best in your new stadium. GREAT goal by the way.

Wonderful documentary lads, very well done. Excellent choice of music and the voiceover perfectly toned :) Although I'm a Celtic fan living in Cowdenbeath, I do follow the progress of the BlueBrazil and have every intention taking my son to some of the games when he is old enough! I've been to the last 2-3 end of season parties at Wee Jimmies and have every respect for the team and indeed the town that I now call home.
