No one within 200 feet of that auditorium ever regained their hearing.
@MrDifmaster9 жыл бұрын
If you thought this was loud, you should have been at the audition camp today, 250 brass playing full out

***** that's more of a corps song than one from a show. It's like "Somewhere over the rainbow" for thd cavaliers of you'll never walk alone for scouts. Something like this is kept bc of fan and Corps popularity.

They didn't do creep this year though which bummed me out

opening sounds a little empty without the marimbas. but glad they're turning this into a tradition!

If I tryout and make a marimba or vibes I will ask for their music.

@@NoName-yq2jn or you can search creep transcription on KZbin and find the one that has the percussion parts in it. That's what I did to learn how to play the piano part

I was there for this! So glad someone took a video! I could literally feel the sound in every bone in my body, and the entire auditorium was shaking during the hit. Getting poured on sucked, but being able to see and hear the battery and brass perform the show, this, and a few others made it completely worth it.

Admittedly I'm a huge fan of Phantom's rich Brass tradition, and living in Wisconsin I should love the scouts, but I'm falling in love with Carolina Crown and these Bluecoats. They give me chills and it's wonderful.

I'd love to be part of the Bluecoats, but I play the saxophone, so I couldn't join with it, unfortunately.

+Tael the Mask Salesman You could be drum major, or learn a brass or percussion instrument if you're dedicated enough. It really isn't as big of a switch as it seems, I guarantee there's at least a few people on each major corps' hornline, pit, and battery who started out on woodwinds and switched to brass or perc.
@tael648 жыл бұрын
+Sorge the Magical Talking Walrus I might try that. Maybe see if I can get a trumpet or euphonium.

I feel like every corps in DCI has an alter Ego or hidden side to them. No one likes to admit it, but, it undertones each corps; This I feel is what gives them all their unique tone...

Every time I hear the Bluecoats play or sing Creep, it brings tears to my eyes. It’s hauntingly beautiful, the way the sound wraps around you, consumes you. And I am only watching this on an iPad. Wow, if I was present in this auditorium, I cannot imagine the impact!

Am I the only Band Geek who never understood the patterns of conducting, when you play from the soul you don't need him
@Micpanda6 жыл бұрын
Yes
@ckarav99206 жыл бұрын
However, playing from the soul and having every single person in a large ensemble subdividing the beat effectively and in thr same fashion, especially over a large expanse like a football field, is practically impossible. There are situations, especially in a concert rather than a marching setting, where conducting is not required. However, it's almost always needed to unify rhythmic pulse and, if the director is good, it should not negatively affect interpretation or emotion.
