I've been out of this for a couple decades, how big of an influence do judges put on difficulty of the written music these days? It was like an unspoken agreement back in the day that they awarded hard music when it was executed well. While parts of this aren't impossible level phrases, the offbeats and timing required are next level. Impressive stuff really, such great music this year. Congrats to all the folks who stuck it out and got to perform in 21.
