It's so crazy to see just how many girls have been in drumlines since I was in high school back in the early 2000's. Back then there were very few and it's like every line has at least one or 2 now in the battery. As a father of 3 daughters and one that is a drummer now, I approve!!

The school I teach at- this year both quads were girls, 1 of the 3 snares was a girl, and 1 bass a girl. They are all extremely badass and easy to teach!!

Some tasty beats, except for a bass buzz. Ugh. I’m so sick of buzz rolls on snare, bass buzzes are even worse!

@@shaanfliesplanes Ah ha, condescension, always a persuasive argument. What’s more difficult to clean? A buzz roll or an open roll? Buzz rolls are just lazy noise in the snare line. A buzz roll on a solo bass drum is just dumb and sounded ridiculous compared to everything else in this video, in my opinion. Now, a split bass buzz feature can be cool and is actually difficult to pull off. I mean, it sounded pretty cool in ‘95 Scouts when we did it right before the flamenco dance transition in the opener.

@@GabeT04 Don't I? Okay, I must not have learned that when I marched Scouts bass in the mid-90's, you would know better than me. Apparently my opinion on buzz rolls is wrong, I bow to your authority on all things drumming. Luckily, I did stop teaching over a decade ago so I guess we agree on that at least! HAHA! That being said, the bass buzz on this video sounds ridiculous and stupid. But bass rarely translates to recordings as well as it does in person, and also sounds different up close compared to in the stands so maybe within the overall composition it sounded amazing. Whoops, those are probably other things I shouldn't comment on because I have no right to my opinion per jonnysins. Come to think of it, I really only did like to play everything at FULL, so your comment is surprisingly accurate... you are quite the genius!
