I put Specticle down this week in Texas , little early but that’s ok. I’ve heard that if you get a heavy rain after , that can damage the grass because of the root pruning . Do you find that to be an issue with Specticle Flo ?

Great info! Unfortunately, my mowing never ends in zone 9a. I like to use a soil thermometer to time pre-emergents.

Curious on why your using the simazine with the Specticle?

Specticle alone unfortunately does not control all the weeds including poa. Adding simazine can help

Hey Jason can you tell me after I get this Dallisgrass out of my lawn what are the proper steps to take going forward? Do I overseed in the fall or wait until the spring to put down seeds? Maybe not overseed and just pre- emergent , fertilizer and watering on occasions.

If it's a warm season lawn then I just let it spread over time to fill in. If it's a cool season lawn then you could overseed this fall

Appreciate all the advice. It`s been hotter than he11 here in central Texas with no rain for over 2 months . I'm ready to put this thing to rest for the winter. This makes 2 years in a row with 100-109 temps. I`m amazed my Bermuda looks as good as it does here in the Sahara.

I need some help, and maybe someone in these comments can point me in the right direction. I'm in Georgia, and looking to get licensed to spray. Our Dept of Ag lady is absolutely useless. She won't give you any real 8nfo 9n the phone, and she emails an outdated packet of info with bad links. I'm not sure where to find the resources to get licensed, since all the links in her info packs are useless. Anyone in Ga who's been licensed with some info on where to look for up to date resources?
