Man good video like always. I stay out of that area to many ppl but the blue fish invasion started a few ago. Nothing better then going home with sore arms from fishing. Bleed them out b4 you put them in the bucket they will taste alot better.

If you don’t bleed them ,after you fillet Them then you soak the fillets in milk for a day .the enzymes in the milk will cut the oily contents of the bluefish taste

Honestly, I haven’t fished there at night. I typically don’t fish at night unless I’m on a boat, or there’s really good lighting. I get frustrated quickly when I can’t see what I’m doing lol

I was using 2 12ft Shakespeare rods, 1 with a shimano 1200d, the other with some cheapo reel from Walmart lol. I was using pre-tied bluefish rigs with a 5/0 j hook on both.

Honestly, because I was by myself and dragging that cooler across the sand while carrying all of my gear was just an impossible task. I didn’t bleed them out because I didn’t want to deal with the mess, since all I had was a bucket to put them in and no stringer.

Most of the time it’s a productive spot, but I have gone out there and skunked a few times. People mostly catch blues, stripers, flounder, and kingfish. I’ve heard of people catching drum there as well.

Nothing special on the surf fishing side. I have 2 Shakespeare 12 ft surf rods that I got from Walmart. The white one has a cheap reel that I also got from Walmart. The black one has a shimano baitrunner 12000D that I purchased shortly before this video. Thanks for watching!
