Heck I be happy to get some deer meat again I have a recipe for you to try for back strap well you could probably do it for a roast as well but you take your meat and take bacon strips and lay them out course black pepper and an what ever seasoning you like and sprinkle it on it and roll it up in the bacon and place it in tinfoil but before you seal it up put about a jar of blackberry preserves in with it cook it on 350 until you like it then while its resting pure the drippings in a sauce pan and add a little more blackberry to it until your thickness liking serve over rice

Awesome to see you guys in my neck of the woods and Jake congrats brother nice buck. East Tennessee has tons of deer but they are a little harder to get than them Florida bucks. I live about an hour west of West point on the other side of Knoxville in a place called Windrock. Today I got shot at by road hunters and I was dressed in orange.
