What store that they were singing about is the Rabbit Hash, KY old General Store. It had been in nearly continuous operation since 1831, but it caught on fire and was mostly destroyed on Valentine's Day weekend in 2016. Just a little over one year later---the store was completely rebuild and reopened and once again is doing well...may this one go another 150 or so years....

I remember when the general store burnt down , they rebuilt it though but it was a sad day when that happened, I used to ride with my dad on the goldwing down rabbit hash , it's some good memories, I'd used to stop there before I'd hit the river bank
