This is one of the most clever builds I've seen! Thanks for sharing it

Absolutely brilliant. That is a cheap effective and very comfortable looking camper conversion for those of us who want to see the country and still have a decent bed. This video is going 2 be shared over and over. I am seriously thinking of doing my car now and putting bike on the back and get out and see the country. Thanks

Hello, very good camperization, you have given me many ideas that I had not seen before 👍💪 a question, how do I know those hinges that you have where the kitchen goes, what are they called?
@Bluejay1968 Жыл бұрын
Glad you found it interesting. The hinges are coffee table hinges, or lift up hinges.

Awesome idea. Love the back. Would do the front part to the widest part of the seat split to keep 1 back seat up. But that's my preference to single travel.
@Bluejay19683 жыл бұрын
I did consider that, but decided on the half and half settup. It makes it easier to anchor the bed bracket centre section into the end of the centre divider, when using it solo i will probably leave the big storage box top out to give full boot depth and also half width leaves the panels the right size for the next addition to the build ;)
@SYKAROST3 жыл бұрын
Nicely worked out and constructed, a lot more involved than mine (which you watched) but I only needed a single bed and I do have the dual floor. I guess you can leave yours in situ now as you still have a useable boot area whereas mines much lighter and will just pop in and out as required. Very nice job, look forward to seeing how you progress and lets hope we can put them to good use quite soon. Best Wishes, Brian.
@Bluejay19683 жыл бұрын
Yes i like your settup. Only having a single leaves more room and gives a lot more scope. Building a double certainly takes some thinking about and a few compromises. Especialy when you consider fitting in luggage and kit for 2. There will be some additions in future videos. And yes lets hope we can get out and about again soon :)

Thanks, a bitter sweet experience for me though as I lost my wife a year ago and we had been caravanners for years but sold it a few years back through lack of use. She wouldn't have even considerd this idea but it will be adequate for my needs. Are you planning to have privacy window tints or just make night blinds? I've just bought some clip in plexiglass panels for mine. Quite expensive but easily removed. I reckon your next step might be a roof box if catering for two Lol.
@Bluejay19683 жыл бұрын
@@SYKAROST So sorry to hear about your wife. We are both looking forward to giving this a try once restrictions are lifted. No iam not going to get tints, I have a couple of ideas for blinds, those should be appearing in future videos. Already have a roof box from my last car, it should fit the Octavia ok but have yet to check that. But yes a roof box will be a must for longer trips. Though for 1 nighters we will hopefully be ok with whats in the car.
@SYKAROST3 жыл бұрын
@@Bluejay1968 Thankyou, much appreciated. My tints are now fitted, I did experiment with blinds but have dropped the idea for now. Being a loner I shouldn't need to go down the roof box route. Good luck with your development, look forward to seeing the outcome.

Some interesting ideas. How do you disables the alarm from inside the car. I have a 2013 estate Skoda Octavia
@Bluejay19683 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Open the drivers door, there is a switch low down on the door pillar, click that so it turns orange. That will disable the internal sensors. It will reset the next time you unlock the car so remember to do it every time.

Sorry i haven't. But then its personal choice as to how you want yours. Whatvi will say is Think long and hard about what you want it to do before you start building it.
