Looking at Baseball Savant, Fenway Park reduces Vlad's home run numbers. He would likely smack a lot of doubles off of the Green Monster, though! Perhaps that wall would end up helping his performance, since he would try to get more elevation instead of hitting ground balls.

He has a 1.057 ops at fenway. I bet he feels like a star there already. At the dome he has an .823 ops. He's never been a star in front of us. When the dome is closed, his numbers dip to .697ops. The dome being closed argument is kinda silly, alot of players numbers dip with the roof closed. Vladdys home numbers overall though are better than the road at .883. For sure vlad plays better in a real ball park though with the sun on you, or if the dome is open. You could see that right when he came up from the minors though. Any player would want to go where his numbers will thrive though and better chance of winning.

Jim Riley's BOS trade proposal could happen and we get Campbell, if we take Yoshida and his salary (likely BOS takes some) I'm not sure how Kristian Campbell isn't MLB best prospect but, he's #24. He's 5 times the player Vlad is and ready for the show this season. Put Yoshida @DH, sign Alonso and Santander. Put Martínez at 3rd. You'd have a truly scary line-up with 5 bats under 60M. You have players who loved it here, and they got rid of them because they were a fun team and they needed to be a serious team. You have free agents giving the team consideration, and they see how Vlad and Bo are being knee capped by Atkins and Shapiro - two of the stupidest men in sports at the present moment - and just use the Jays to up their contract value. It's a team in a city in a province in a country that all tax the living fuck out of anyone moderately successful on any level, with less sponsorship opportunities than in the US, so seeing a dysfunctional management and disgruntled players makes it an easy place to avoid. Vlad said " I want to be a Blue Jay for life" so you sign the man, you say, what do you want to keep you happy, what free agents do you want to play with, what do we need to do, and then you do it for him.

His lowest OPS was in September after that where it dropped to the high 800 … I don’t understand why people are trying to push this narrative that he only starting hitting in the second half when the season was over.
