Greetings Marty, Thank you for your tutorials. This method is the best I've found to transform photos into cartoons. I am getting a lot of black spots on my images when I add the poster edges filter that didn't appear on your image in this video. How can I fix this? Do you have a method to transform images into batman comic book style images? I am happy to pay for a membership if necessary.

Wonderfull tutorial, amazing results that, by the way, I can't replicate. I supose the reason is the size of the image, in my case 4000 pixels wide. Is there a rule of thumb to "adapt" the values in the filters depending on the image size??? Thank you very much!!!

There's no rule of thumb per se. Some filters have the same result no matter the resolution, whereas others, do.

If "oil paint" is greyed out, go to Image > Mode > RGB color, 8 bits/Channel.

What does the error state? 99% of the time errors like this are due to simple reasons, however, it could be one of many. One would have to inspect your document to determine which of them is the cause of the problem.

At 2:42 after posterization when I go to image: adjustment: threshold all the options are greyed out(except highlights and toning). I have tried and tried again following you step by step and it hangs up here. Any suggestions?(I'm using CS5 btw)
