The boards look awesome and indestructible. I personally prefer a handle in the bottom and it would be nice if it was symetrical to the handle in the top (but I guess that impacts on strength). Hence, I think the handle would be a nice to have option, especially if you need to carry it further due to local break conditions. But, since it is short and light it may be ok to just lug it over the shoulder with board behind and foil in front - food for thought! Love the insert for the GoPro mount - well done on that one!

The handle on the bottom is usually balanced with the foil attached to board, so further back than the deck handle which is in center. I’m hoping to get more feedback before adding a bottom handle to all boards if the majority of customers would like to have it. Thank you for the feedback.
@GrantJ4 жыл бұрын
@@blueplanetsurf I second the handle in the bottom, often I have to walk a bit in windy conditions and having the handle in the bottom really helps keep the foil and board upwind away from your wing when carrying.
@Lucky-uk1bv4 жыл бұрын
@@blueplanetsurf When walking thru shore breaks on the path to deeper water it makes sense to have the handle on a WING board more centred on the bottom. That way when the wave hits the board (side on, and closest to shore) it is easier to hold. I do similar with my kite board but no problem there because can wrap arm around it...
@blueplanetsurf4 жыл бұрын
@@Lucky-uk1bv Thank you for the feedback, I am used to carrying the board with the wing held against the deck handle but will test a board with bottom handle to see if we want to implement that.
@Lucky-uk1bv4 жыл бұрын
@@blueplanetsurf The handle in the bottom always seems too far back on other Brands. I went to a demo day and I noticed many people carrying the boards with the bottom handle and almost dragging the noses of the boards on the ground, difficult not too. It was also GOOD to see a "Blue Planet" board on that day here in Newcastle Australia....

Looks & sounds like a good design & build quality. Your price point is competitive with the "big" makers. I'll take a little extra weight for the added strength, durability, and insert option. Aesthetically the shape and graphics are personally appealing. Another plus. Assuming worst case situation. No wind or mechanical requiring you to paddle home. How does the board paddle relative to your Carver model? Not (yet) a wing foiler. Wind(surf) foiler. From that perspective I agree with the nose & rail profile. Board used is similar to your design. Convex nose profile with round rails running back transitioning to "trad" rails. Instead of biting it you splash and spray on the unintended touch downs. Length? JMHO, shorter is better. Length not needed when up on a foil. Not really needed to develop momentum. Just proper foil for the conditions and sail pumping technique.

Thanks for the comment. The wing master paddles well if you drift off or the wind dies. We actually have a customer who bought one as a prone board. For learning to wing foil we do recommend a bigger board at least for the first few times. 🤙🏼

@@blueplanetsurf Thanks for the reply.We ride frontals. Some days the wind drops too quickly. 60kg never have winged, able to ride a foil on a windsurfing board. Would the 105L board be ok for learning on? Are the Wing Master boards shipped from airport to airport or is shipping available directly to residence?

Nice board! I have a deep tuttle foil head with angled screws. Is it possible for you to modify the screw holes in the board's foil strongbox to fit the foil head screw holes, so I don't have to modify the screw holes in the foil head?

Hi Robert, I looking for a ideal shape a foil-surf-board between 4‘3 and 4‘7 length and a wide of around 1‘8. It would be about 0‘2 thick. I use Indiana 1100P and have 75kg. So this should work. What do you think??
@blueplanetsurf3 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I have not tried the Indiana boards so can’t give you an opinion, maybe ask Gunnar Biniash for advice on those.
@Nem0_MaNu3 жыл бұрын
@@blueplanetsurf Good idea, thanks. But the 1100P is not the board. It’s the foil! 😊

Just hold the wing and board handle in the same hand. This question keeps coming up so I’ll make a video about it. This video shows it at 5:45 kzbin.info/www/bejne/on-xkIODgN6eY6M
