When you're using/losing tank water to drip acclimate fish, invertebrates, etc. Do you top it off after with salt water or you shouldn't have to worry about it and let the ato top it off with the rodi water?
@BlueReefTank3 жыл бұрын
I usually turn off the ATO before I do any drip acclimation. I top it off with saltwater after that so my salinity stays the same :)

Hey mate, how often do you harvest cultures and dose your tank? I have two dragonets in my tank, running pod cultures. Thanks for the videos.

I’m interested also how you got them to eat frozen food, did you feed oyster eggs or lobster eggs? Ty
@BlueReefTank3 жыл бұрын
I just use a turkey baster and squirt a bunch of frozen food in front of them couple of times a day until they took interest on it and decided to taste it. It's best to train them in quarantine tank if you can so they don't have to compete with other fish but with that, you need to have a constant supply of baby brine shrimp so they can graze all day. Just keep trying and eventually they'll eat it. 🙂 I find that they love frozen lobster eggs and the eggs are very nutritious as it contains a lot of fat

First of all i discover your channel yesterday. İ missed alot:(. İ start to watch all your videos. Great cinamatic videos. Thank you very much. İ watch Mandarin video too. İ read the comments also. İ learn that by making a quarantine tank we can acclimate fishes to frozen food . Can we also pallet or flake food too? İ have a 15lt tank. İ will change water every other day . Do you have any advise for acclimating and care of these fishes. Thank you very much. Have good hobby and days...
@BlueReefTank3 жыл бұрын
Welcome aboard buddy! :D Yes you can definitely train them to eat pellet and flake foods but just make sure to keep an eye on the water parameter as dry food tends to spoil the water quicker than frozen food. For fish, I normally acclimate them for an hour using the drip acclimation method (2-3 drops per second). Just make sure that your display tank has lots of copepods and I would suggest to start your own culture of copepods on the side :) In the quarantine tank, you can hatch some baby brine shrimp every 2 days so they have food all the time in the qt tank.
@eralpdemirkazik91423 жыл бұрын
@@BlueReefTank thanks for the suggestions. İ will use them too. But how can i start copepod culture ? Do you add some sort of bacteria like fluids. İn my country (Turkey) copepods are not selling in a bottle.
