This is a gorgeous dance! That said, it's not what most African American Blues Dancers would consider to be our traditional Black American Folk Dance. ("Blues Dance.") I won't elaborate on the differences. . . as I said it's still a gorgeous dance. It's interesting to see how Blues is danced in other parts of the world.

Thanks for your message, if I agree, it's just our way of interpreting ''Ballroom Blues'' I'm glad you like it, a hug from Valencia, Spain.

Well filmed. Hard to ignore some of the weird technique. Why is the leaders hand always on ribs? That cant be comfy.

Thank you very much, we are glad you like it, we had not noticed that detail hahaha anyway the leader command to not press movements should be positioned between the anterior serratus and the scapula so as not to block the follower's movements although it is not a strict rule because you can connect with your partner as you wish always and when you have a healthy communication so you don't hurt .

@@blacksouldance I have run into that rational before. I have found that the more direct the connection the better as long as the leader is an active listener as well. I see how some want to have a level of separation by not having direct shoulder blade connection but feel it is based off the idea of a lack of two way communication forcing the follower to look away from the connection to have freedom rather then into the connection. I teach direct shoulderblade and cross spinal connection points and advocate against non direct muscular connection points.
