Ally is a great Texas girl and one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Ally really looked out for Dany that day like he was her little brother. If you get a chance come out to the Dallas International Guitar Festival at Market Hall in Dallas off of I35.

@@dannyguitarwoodgarwood3867 I'm honoured that you replied personally. I'm not really into relict guitars but this one reminds me of Rory Gallagher's Strat. Yes I know his was a sunburst but yours has a very similar vibe. It says "I'm a tool , not an ornament"

By the way he was concentrating on her at the start, it looked like he wasn't too familiar with the song (and chord progression) which made the speed at which he picked it up, all the more impressive. He has obviously got a good command of the fretboard.
@dannyguitarwoodgarwood3867Ай бұрын
Yeah......I had never played that song before. I got a 30 second lesson before the song started and that was it. Gary Hoey did the same thing to her years before at the same festival. Sink or swim

If for some reason you've never heard it, do yourself a favor and listen to Freddie King's studio version from Getting Ready. There's some great live versions (Stevie Ray Vaughan/Jeff Beck have a sweet live version, as does Freddie himself). But nothing matches the driving intensity of the recorded version IMO.

Two things: 1. To hit those notes at that speed means you have to contort your fingers and wrist in positions that hurt. 2. You are feeling the music.
