I was ignorant of the man until I walked into the Iridium one evening in 2013 (?) and heard what became my favorite live act. I haven''t seen Popa Chubby in years - I retired from the business that took me to Manhattan on the regular in 2015. To my knowledge, he's not visited us here in the greater Seattle area. I hope that he does - I need to expose (many) friends and relatives to at least one of his shows. Thanks Popa!!

I don't know enough to say how creative or original his style is but I've seen many of the legends up close and personal and even compared to them this guy has got just blazing speed in his left hand ! I've been in a bar with Johnny winter twice in his prime and I thought nobody played faster blues but I guess popa does so anybody badmouthing his playing can just suck it!!!
