Hi Katrina, No we don't seal the bottle. The glue is specially designed to hold the crystals in place extremely well. its water and chemical resistant so you can wash the bottle from outside without causing any damage. Bluestreak x

This might be a silly question but does the glue still hold firm if it gets wet? No matter how careful I am with filling it up and cleaning it, water always ends up on the outside.

The shine and quality of the crystals are dramatically different. If you have them side by side you would see that the cheaper ones look dull and does not shine in the light as well. You can especially tell in direct sunlight. Hope this helps!

She's using CG5000, but...GemTac and PowerTac are better and don't have to be mixed. Sondra Celli uses Power Tac and most DIY have replaced E6000 for GemTac because it is a newer version that doesn't smell so badly and is less toxic. All are Beacon adhesives.

Don't use hot glue with Swarovski crystals. Use GemTac or PowerTAC by Beacon. Use very little. It will dry quickly and dry clear. Hot glue will show and be uber tacky.

Hi, Yes, we recommend sanding down any glossy surfaces before hand, in this case the bottle was a matt surface and slightly textured so did not need sanding Bluestreak x
