I gotta say I love that you all appreciate this so much. I just wanna give you a heads up, there are a couple more new dinos but you gotta take the branching paths to see them shine. Graphic limitations didnt allow for too many more but there are some. The forest of illusion takes a different take on the time of the dinosaurs. Another thing is Luigi has a lot of changes from the original. Hope he gets to shine in these vids. The main idea of this whole hack is to re-present the original game but bring out the concept more. I wanted the dinosaurs to be more like animals with territorial instincts rather than enemies so i kept them out of things directly related to the koopa clan. They arent used in the valley of Bowser much. For those of you who know this game by heart, i hope you appreciate the graphic changes and nods to other mario media. And thanks for making these vids. I never thought my hack would have such a huge audience. Thank you so much for to playing my game ;-)

I've seen MANY mario world hacks over the years.. But i always felt "Dinosaur Land" was severely lacking in dinosaurs. This hack is GREAT. I know mario world like the back of my hand, and these new assets, like recolors, new foes, songs, background, etc changed JUST enough to breathe some fresh air into it. I hope to someday see someday see donkey Kong country 2, yoshi's island, and tomba hacks like this and better. Donkey Kong country 1-3 need some good user created expansions and hacks.. Well, 1 and 2 more than 3.

Hey this comment made my day. That was the whole idea of this hack. I really didnt want to change the original game too much. New characters are hard to add with the graphic limitations if u want to keep the original characters too. For instance, in the fourth level here buzzy beetles were replaced by koopas because the dinos take their graphic slots. This is my first game hack and i added as much as I could. I really just wanted to breathe new life into my favorite game so i didnt want to change too terribly much. But these comments are really helping me with improvements and I am really happy I could bring mario world back into your lives with some fun sprinkles of new things.

@@schildiish Keep in mind the SMW Cartoon also has rexes based on the game varients as well but with feathered wings instead. Also no that "cartoon" Rex is actually not a rex and it doesn't have an official name either to prove it. Based on their appearance, I don't think so. Even though the game based Rexes in the cartoons are just called "Dinosaurs" They are still actually Rexes even the other enemies got renamed with generic terms.

This hack is super sick; I love how Bensalot included Toad in each level to give the player hints as well as charming exposition like the Toads in Mario 64 did! The new dinos are obviously great additions as well. This is the kind of creativity the GBA Mario World port needed!

fun fact: the big blue dinosaur near the end of the video at 11:04 is actually a dinosaur from the kids show "Super Mario World" which was around in 1991. he was seen in episode 13 "mama Luigi" where Luigi tells Yoshi on how they met. Luigi finds a Yoshi egg in a block and that rex dinosaur wanted to eat yoshi and luigi . your welcome :)
