I love this game! Tip: there’s a glitch if you good left and right at the same time you start running backwards at insane speeds and it’s extremely helpful for speed running levels

Great vid again, Darby! A couple notes on the e-Reader levels (and World-e in general): 1. The yellow thing with a coin on it, seen in episode 1, is a Coin Challenge. The number it shows is how many coins you need to grab. Once that number runs down to 0, you get something nice at the end. 2. You know those e-Coins you've been collecting? You can view them all in the castle on the world map. 3. Fun fact, the little yellow flipper gates, as well the ball in the ball-throwing minigame both come from Yoshi's Island (the ball behaves a lot like Yoshi eggs when thrown)!

The e-reader cards were an interesting concept, I mean Nintendo made a Mario Party board game surrounding the e-reader cards! The extra levels for SMA4:SMB3 was definitely the best use of the cards by far! Interesting to see Nintendo doing DLC way back in the GBA days

Thankfully someome actually made a patch to apply to a regular SMB3 GBA ROM so you don't have to use a Wii U if you dont want to. Also very nice video like usual!

You totally cheesed the A-coin at 25:04 with the veggie - you're supposed to use the yellow switch and the P switch in the previous room, and get to the room with the A coin before the P switch runs out to fall through the bottom and physically grab the A coin. It ends up being a pretty tight timer. Your method is way easier! Anyway, hope you keep doing these! Even as someone who's played through all of these, it's neat watching you go through them. Some of the later levels are pretty brutal, especially the speedrun one where you have to jump between saw blades! I forget the exact level number...

I tried the p-switch method but when I entered the door it disabled the p-switch every time. Not sure if it's a glitch or what.

It just occurred to me, are the colors in Advance 4 not washed out like they are in Advance 2 (SMW)? I believe they were in Advance 2 because the original GBA didn't have a backlit screen.

Did some research, and given that the SP, which has a backlight, was release in early '03, and Advance 4 came out mid '03, they probably didn't wash out the colors since it wasn't necessary.

1. It feels illegal to see the Cape in Mario 3 2. They need to add the Advanced aesthetic to MM2. And replace the Leaf with the Tanuki Suit. And replace the frog suit with the hammer suit.
