Just FYI for anyone else , I fitted to a BA FPV GT-P, and it needs a splitter cable also that Matty / FordAudio supplies for $10 for the Blue plug, Im not sure but think the factory Pod Gauges wont work without one.. G'day browney. Nice video matey. Very helpful indeed, I have only just found out about these in the last week or so, and thought "what a superb idea". Can you please tell me something about making phone calls 1. Does it use a microphone in the control unit or the microphone on your phone ? 2. Are you using android or apple.? The reason why i'm asking is, I did buy an Ebay one, everything works fine except no bastard can hear me during phone calls, which seem to defeat the purpose of it. If you haven't had too much dramas with it I will have to get in touch with Matt. Cheers bud.

Thanks mate. Regarding the microphone, it uses the mic in the controller and I use an iPhone. Honestly I’ve barely used it for phone calls so I can’t answer that with a great degree of confidence, but I do recall when I was testing it initially that we tested it on phone calls and found it to work. Perhaps you could look at mounting it closer to a direct line from you speaking for better results, somewhere like the top of steering column cover or nearer your gauge cluster? Or even above you at the top of the A pillar trim? I know Matt’s kit would have more than enough length in the wiring to do so. Hope this helps mate.

Thanks. You can also try scrolling through the radio modes on the back of the left steering wheel control if you have it. If you still can't find AUX mode then it sounds like the car isn't getting a signal. Does the Bluetooth controller turn on and have a light? And are all the wires connected and definitely in the correct connectors? Hope that helps

How’s the bass when using Bluetooth? I’ve found when I have my phone hooked up through aux cable of my BA the bass is almost non existent (along with very quiet volume), but if I switch back to radio it’s very prominent. Is this any better? Cheers for the vid!

Much better with this kit than the straight AUX cord, signal is boosted with these units so should be close or same as the radio 👍

i bought this BA Bluetooth AUX kit of you about a week ago. I’ve noticed the left CH is significantly lower than the right CH. This only happens on AUX as CD and radio are fine. Have you come across this before? Any fix?

@Cameron Gollings Hi Cameron, thanks mate. Nothing has to be wired in, it's all plug and play. You should be able to just disconnect the factory AUX setup and plug in the new connector for your bluetooth kit, then locate the other plug required for the kit in much the same location behind the fuse panel. Hi Jason, thanks mate. Yes will work with all BA and BF’s. Only difference would be that there will be no foglight/traction control buttons in some models in which case the wiring and receiver can be passed through the silver dash trim near where this would be or anywhere else that suits your needs.

Unfortunately, my Territory has a bunch of aftermarket shit installed in that section, and the past owner has made a mess of it. Might have to try getting under there and see if I can clean it up a bit

I really haven't ended up using it for the handsfree a lot, mostly music. Probably not the ideal microphone location but I've been happy with it the few times I've used it for that, and it was much cheaper than any other similar option I had found 👍

Could be wrong but I don’t know of a specific version of the XR6 that came with all of the above. I believe they are each just options mate so you’ll have to suss each car out or perhaps certain search engines will allow you to specify those as criteria. Good luck mate

Can also try but cycling through radio options with the mode paddle, left hand side of the steering wheel if you have it. If still no luck with that double check the Bluetooth controller is getting power (lights coming on) and the connectors are plugged into the correct location behind the fuse box? Car won't allow AUX mode without a signal to the car to say something is connected here.

@Darryl Marriner Hi Darryl, sorry I wasn't aware of this at the time of making the video. Seems to be the case with F6/GT's to power gauges. Believe Matt (who made these kits) has an option to adapt this blue plug for 2 outlets for around $10.

@Craig Broderick Seems like the factory wiring is poorly shielded, especially relating to any AUX input, and different cars have different results. I only ever have a slight noise when headlights are on and playing podcasts not music (must be lower audio file output level or something), otherwise no dramas.

Other units may, this one is amplified so this isn't the case. Audio level should be the same or incredibly close.

Hey browny, mate the key code procedure did not work on my 2005 BF territory, ie: turn the key only to the first position and then depress the rear window demist button 3 times and press any of the buttons on the key fob, but nothing happened other than the pushing the rear demist button 3 times did lock the car ,but could not unlock the car doors or any functions on the key fob, checked the key fob battery with new one ,but still did not work and when i pulled the key out of the ignition the doors unlocked, but not via any button on the key fob, can you help me please, thinking it might be a faulty key fob?

Hi mate. I haven't personally done this, at least not yet, but all sounds like you're doing it correct to me except I was under the impression the locks would cycle and not just lock to show you are in programming mode. From what you've described it does sound like it may be a remote issue, a few ideas though: The buttons on the older style remote can be quite difficult to push at times, maybe try with the cover and rubber buttons off to ensure the remote button is being directly pushed. Is this for a second remote? Are you able to test a second remote to confirm that it is only the new one not working? Check your timing, are you pushing the demist button 3 times quickly straight after putting the key into the accessories position?

Hey there. Not sure if you had success or not. But I just did this on my beast. I followed the instructions in the car manual and it didn't work for me either. So I hit youtube and discovered that the book left out on little detail. The vid I saw recommended - close the door and put the key in the acc position within 10 secs of closing the door then very quickly do the three pushes on the rear demister button and then the locks will go into the locked position. It did not do the whole locking/unlocking cycle for me. The push one of the buttons on your remote followed by any other remotes you want to program. Then turn the key to the off position and test the remotes. Once I found out the info about the 10 sec timing I was able to program both the remotes without a hitch. Buyer beware: I tried installing a kit just like the one above from eBay and the audio plug didn't fit. It had some extra plastic in the wrong places jamming up the grooves that the plug slides into. PITA!

If you have steering wheel controls have you tried pushing mode on the back left control to cycle through modes? If not luck sounds like it may not be getting power, double check that one is connected and to the right plug. If no luck try messaging Matt to see if he has any ideas for you 👍

Do you know if this install will be the same for a ford territory 2010

Testing my limited Territory knowledge here but being 2010 it should be the last of the SY's, with similar interior to BA/BF? If so the install should all go exactly the same I believe, did one on my dads SX Territory and there was no real difference to the Falcons 👍.
