Thanks for the video. Do you know how to get in touch with the seller? I bought my unit via parcelup but the on/off switch is broken and the unit doesn't charge. Also my unit looks a bit different. I'm not satisfied by the quality at all. Parcelup does not help. Thanks

Yep, works across a lot of my lenses. If you press the autofocus button on the camera and you lens attempts to autofocus, it’s a good chance that lens is compatible. The remote is just telling the camera to autofocus nearer or further but the increments of the focus speed you’ve set for the remote :)

I spent a lot of time to pair my 6k pro with a strange result. Camera firmware is 7.5.1. I tried all the firmware of the device with no result, than I noticed that the camera shows a pairing number only when the device is not connected to the pc. Switched the device off and on, camera shows number, connected usb, filled in the number, send, camera said: connection failed, try again. No result. But after a long night I noticed: the device is working. Camera still shows : No device connected. The focus is working smooth but too slow on both functions. This focus adjust how to is absolutly not working with my camera and device. Will there be an update?

Hello, thanks to your video I purchased 2 BMD Remote Plus 2022 version: 1 works with my BMPCC4K, but the second won't pair, I think it has installed a firmware for another camera (BMPCC6K?...) Where do you find the firmware? I've tried to flash these linked in the video but they don't work. I cannot reach MT Capitain... Can you help me?

Great video thanks for making it, I got everything working with my sigma 18-35mm. However I noticed that it's really smooth pulling focus from far to close but stutters when I pull from close to to far (ie pulling focus from the foreground to the background). It's weird because its the same lens, do you think this is just a problem with my lens? Its the only auto focus lens that works with it so I don't have much to compare it to.

I haven’t noticed any choppiness on the high speed settings, but I kind of have what you describe with the slower speed. I imagine this will be fixed with an firmware update - I’ll let you know if I hear anything. What I do suggest is play around with the speeds as some may suit the lens motor better than others

It's weird I think my remote is slightly different, I noticed the design is a little different on my remote and I seem to only be able change focus, I can't change the iris. I tried playing around with the speeds, 9 seems to work best and is very smooth when I turn the nob counter clockwise. But when I rotate it clockwise it stutters.

No unfortunately it doesn't change the iris. The design of my remote is almost the same as your albeit mine has a white circle with triangles around the nob. Also is there a site where I can find the new firmware updates? When I first got the remote setup it was pretty much unusable, which seemed to be because of the blackmagic 7.3 update. I followed your new video and was able to change the speed which made a huge difference, but it's still not great for racking focus as pulling to infinite takes a lot longer than it should. I'm going to test it out with some other af lenses.

@@seancoolahan6855 Turn off the device, and then turn it on again while the wheel is pressed down. Hold the wheel for a few seconds. Now try turning the wheel while holding it down. That may change something 😕

This modified firmware seems to be based on the camera firmware 6.9.1-6.9.6 variant. Would you happen to know if they've released a version of this remote firmware, that is also compatible with camera firmware 7.3?

I am running 7.3, though I’ve had the remotes since before they came out. I think if you were to downgrade to a lower camera software, connect the remotes, and THEN upgrade the camera to the latest software you will not have issues. What issues occur with your camera?

@@GimbleProductions Well, it's impossible to downgrade my camera below 7.3, so that's not a solution in my case. I've successfully installed a 7.3 -compatible version of the remote firmware, which was linked in the comment section of the pairing video. (This updated differentiated between camera firmware versions, 6.9.1-6.9.6 or 7.3.) When I upgrade to this new firmware, the camera does not recognize the remote anymore. After reverting to the prior remote firmware, the remote is recognized by the camera and works again.

I would really like to play with the focus speed settings, but this seems to be v4.0 of the remote firmware, while I believe I am running a 7.3-compatible v2.3 or v3 (not sure) of the remote firmware, that does not allow this.

Make sure the camera is turned on at the same time, and sometimes it shows up after maybe even a minute! Try turn the focus wheel at the same time while you are waiting, that may help!

@@GimbleProductions I wait form than 1 min nothing happens. On the camera say no device is currently connected. If if disconnect the cable from the controller the camera try to connect but it says enter the adobe passcode in the device... after few seconds says connection falied :( Any idea ?

@@zyedzydon6446 My firmware is 7.9. The only reaction of the camera is connection failed, try again. Tried all firmwares of the tool. The device worked with the former BMD firmware, without showing the device in the bluetooth Tab. It was very usefull. What I not expected: the device was shown after installing the BMD 7.9. Focus worked (only in finetuning as before) record on, but not off. So I tried a new install with no result. Hope for a new firmware. Viele Grüße! Jochen

Maybe the speed option for the 18-35 works better for the ef 4/500 than my option before, I`m just trieing. Where can I find the the link to the new firmware?

@@luanfmarques the informations I could gather are, the board is a ESP32 (ESP8266). I am guessing that somehow I bricked my device while updating the firmware/resetting the device. I guess there should be a method to unbrick it, but I have no idea how. I did install the bin files into the correct folder (i guess), but couldn't make the red light come back. On the inside it is a bit clumsy and DIY looking, maybe something went wrong when I opened it to check...
