This remote was delivered together with the tripod I ordered, yesterday, and didn't now how to pair it with phone. Put how to connect selfie remote with phone into search box in KZbin, and the first video was for exactly the same remote as I have - amazing! Hi! have an LG v30 and there is no "volume button" in the camera settings. I recently update to PIE and now the shutter only goes to nova settings when I long press it, but will not click on the camera icons like before.

YEAH!! I just received my $2 Bluetooth remote after 3 mos due to COVID. Unfortunately, they forgot to include the instructions. Through your video, I was able to sync the remote and take test pictures of my loving kitty-cat Max on my Android Samsung Galaxy S20. It's noting like some cheap FUN to brighten one's day!! The technology is improving so fast we can't catch up sometimes :) BTW it works best if you connect your phone to a tv so that you can see how you look before you take the picture.

For anyone struggling, change the volume button function to shutter and the remote shutter will be set to shutter , if the volume buttons are set to zoom or volume , the remote shutter will do the same

I got one of these and the setup is super easy, just pair it. Here is one issue I had, I paired it with my Xperia X and it made the camera zoom in. I am guessing the internal key values are different on some Sony (and maybe other) devices. I paired it with my Umidigi A9 Pro and it worked correctly. I am guessing there is something special about the Sony camera app that is keeping it from working right. Is there an app I can use on my Xperia X to fix the issue (or a camera app I can install that works like the apps found on other devices)? BTW, my remote needed a 2032 button cell. There is a good chance yours will too. A good prank would be to pair this to a phone and when someone takes a photo snap the shutter for them hehehe

How long did it last? I was thinking of getting this one with a lifetime warranty. It's more expensive but lifetime warranty and has a nice design. Problem is it doesn't have many buttons or functions. I want one I can scroll thru an e book and those u can't. I read in the cheapo remote comments they stop working shortly or some buttons don't work. Also that all the El Cheapo remotes seem to be made from the same factory.

Okay, so I have this remote and it works on Snapchat and the camera app just fine, BUT.. When I want to play music while I’m taking pictures it won’t work and will try to act like a volume up button no matter what button I press. I cannot seem to find a solution to this anywhere, is there a way (or any iPhone settings option) that will allow me to take selfies with the remote while listening to music on the phone to where the buttons aren’t adjusting the volume ? Anyone have this trouble ? I even tried using a Bluetooth speaker and the remote still just tries to act as a volume adjuster :(

It will serve you well. It's good even for professional use. A friend of mine sells clothes online and she uses this wireless remote control to take pictures of herself wearing the clothes, this way she saves on photographer.

Thought I was using it wrong and/or the battery was not working so got a new battery and it still does not work. I have a Samsung S3 4.4 android, it does not say in the marketing material (on Amazon, with the selfie stick, where I bought it) that it only works on certain operating systems, it states Android, suggesting it works on ALL androids but it obviously doesnt. No point in me asking for a refund as I purchased it 2 years ago but never used it. It works fine on my friend's Apple phone but that is useless to me!!

Hi, the light should turn on only in the beginning when you turn it on and pair it with your phone. Make sure you pair it with your phone. Some phones require additional settings in order to be able to pair with external devices. If the device still doesn't work, try with a different battery.

Have you tried connecting other bluetooth devices to your phone? Maybe there is some software or hardware problem with your bluetooth. If this is not the case, you can try connecting the remote selfie button to some other smartphones and see if it works with them. If it doesn't, then it might be damaged.
