What I have found running open lug tires on the highway is anything over 50 MPH will burn your tires out twice as fast as opposed to 50 and under (rolling-resistance). I proved this to myself time and time again over the years (45) is that 50 MPH is the Magic-Number for "great tire mileage" on the highway. My first job was Bustin-Beads for about 5 years, so (personally) I'm a bit of a "stickler" on things like that (tire mileage). Thanks for the update. :) NC
@TRDJon2 жыл бұрын
No worries! Yea can't go under 50 on 10 here. That is waiting for an accident to happen lol. But with the city driving I will be doing, these should last a long long time.
@nightcrawleroriginal2 жыл бұрын
@@TRDJon Lol, yeh, you guys are "special" down their South of 49th when it comes to speed, up here it's mostly windy mountain roads so 50 mph (80-kmh) is the norm in a lot of places. I drove the I-35 when my family (parents) and I lived down their for a few years back in the Apollo/Houston days. :) NC

Question for you, since you have both. I was thinking about downsizing from my second gen tundra to a Tacoma for sportiness but lots of guys complain about how damn cramped the Tacoma is. You have both what do you think? Just upgrade to a Gen 4 tundra or is a Tacoma a viable option. I’ve had an Fj trail teams and a 4Runner prior so I’m not completely unaware of the smaller size. Opinion would be appreciated.
@TRDJon2 жыл бұрын
For sure! If you have any sort of passengers to carry, the Taco is TIGHT. Super small inside. Even smaller to me then a 4R and FJ since it is only the cab of the truck you can work with.
