Love the video. Where's the deer? My dad used to hunt high country buck in High Uintas. Sadly, there are very few deer around anymore. I'm hearing wolves are causing lots of problems along the North Slope, too.

Hey man how is the uintah basin? mountainous, or pretty flat?

It's a basin so it's flat in the middle and has Highline ridges. It's very rocky and hiking the ridgelines can be very dangerous with a load.

i am wanting to do a DIY pack in hunt this year for archery. I understand if you don't, but would you mind sharing where(ish) that was. It looks like awesome country. Is it pretty secluded from roads trails etc..? Thanks!

So the place in this video is pretty secluded. really, pick any of the basins along the south slope in the wilderness area, and you will find the exact same types of meadows and elk. east of Hanna/Tabiona and West of White Rocks
