Bluetti have an altenator charger, charges at 560watts. Dont see any of your negative points as negative.
@madetoexplore2 ай бұрын
@@Terry-zs4ir yes, that is very useful! The negative part, in my opinion, is having to manually switch between solar and the alternator cables. They should have two DC inputs. Sounds like this would be perfect for you tho! 👍 that’s great!

Add a splitter cable and match the charger 1 voltage to the solar panel voltage. Done Edit: Put an inline diode on the pos if you want to be extra safe that the energy can only flow 1 way

Temperature charging I agree needs a heater, my solar charging is useless when temperature drops and the even to get charged on AC you have to wait for ever before temp light goes off to charge. Not made for winter temps at all.

15 amps is a lot of amps , most houses this is close to over load on a breaker. Bluetti when charging from a cigarette car lighter port will check the incoming voltage because there are 12 and 24 volt systems out there, If the ac200l cant see a voltage at around 20 - 24 volts then the amps that bluetti will draw in will be cut back, this is a safety feature of bluetti so you don't melt your car cigarette lighter port.
@madetoexplore16 күн бұрын
15 amps for a 120v house circuit is a lot. I’m talking about 15 amps of 12v which isnt a lot when you are charging a large power station. Yes, that’s a great feature with the Bluetti!

Just got a new AC200L and am having issues connecting it to the Bluetti app. When I initially tried to connect I selected "Bluetooth" as my only internet access is via my cell phone so I DON'T have home internet. Instead the app took me to my cell phone's connections settings for WIFI, and now as soon as I select the Bluetti app it keeps taking me directly to my cell phone settings (I a slo tried "scanning" for Bluetooth devices but nothing came up. Everything I've read online says to make sure the dev ice is set up for "Bluetooth" but there is NO menu option and it appears the only way to make changes to the device is through the app, which I haven't figured out how to connect to the AC200L. (I have an AC300 and it immediately connects via bluetooth to my cell phone and the app - but then again the AC300 has a "Menu" option button on the display, which the AC200L DOES NOT! What am I doing wrong? (Is adding the device "Manually" an option - I haven't tried that yet?)

So I’m not ready to get on the road. probably it’s gonna be another couple of years but I’m in the meantime getting my van built out, so should I grab this at $1000 now and will it keep until I’m ready to leave or should I wait and see if bluetti comes out with a better one? like you said a better Generator

Why not use a smart ac inverter to charge the bluetti? A smart inverter would only turn on when the vehicle is running. It works great for my Mercedes Sprinter build. Charges when driving using Victron Energy 1200VA 12-Volt 120V AC Pure Sine Wave Inverter. You can adjust the max grid input in the bluetti app so you dont overwork your inverter.
@madetoexplore2 ай бұрын
Yeah, this is an option although it would be pretty expensive. I think utilizing the Bluetti Charger 1 would be more affordable and convenient

Bluetti products use to be at the forefront of power stations but their products are obsolete. Even Jackery that has overpriced power stations has surpassed Bluetti. EcoFlow; Pecron; Oupes; All Powers and my personal favorite, the Anker Solix 3800. It is a mobile beast and is expandible to 15 kilowatts.

Almost bought an EcoFlow, but too many bad reviews. So I bit the bullet and ordered the Bluetti 200 V2. It's a little more, but 6000 charge cycles means I should get nearly 2x the life out of it. Fingers crossed. lol

I went with Ecoflow over Bluetti because of the EV pile charging option, and Bluetti is having issues with its EV Pile charging option. Side note someone hauling a 62lb BP to charge up into anywhere is insanity!

Just make a switch, one from solar and another from an alternator adapter charger. Such as a 500 watt pecron adapter. Both go in the solar input. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKLRipSngtyeqqcsi=reoA4YsrTKeIotSY
@madetoexplore2 ай бұрын
Yeah, that’s a great solution to this problem but wouldn’t it be nice if Bluetti had that feature built in?
@chrisskinner64832 ай бұрын
@madetoexplore I think it would increase the costs. Some modularity is nice
@chrisskinner64832 ай бұрын
@madetoexplore also I don't think it's really possible to build that in, as your boosting the source side to push the amperages TO the charger. Can't PULL it. People would use the wrong wiring anyways, lol
@madetoexplore2 ай бұрын
@ it’s definitely possible and quite straight forward since they already have the MPPT solar charger. It’s basically adding a small DC to DC component inside the unit. Adding a simple wire gauge/distance chart to the manual would solve that issue. Portable power stations are the opposite of modular in my opinion. If you want modular, you should go with Renogy or Victron.
