@@squadsaneslader, point. I am a Christian, so I get where you're coming from. However, the point was the graphics and differences, not slightly awkward moments and a single kiss in the cut scenes. Heck, that aside, this is what we call "fantasy." Sonic's world is filled with both anthropomorphic animals/South Islanders/Mobians and Humans/Overlanders, both species being intelligent life. That may be more common and understandable in his world(😏). Creepy and wrong in ours, but this is a cartoon in an alternate fantasy land. Draw the line where you choose I suppose, just beware of furries.

Apparently, the people who made the Unity version did actually make one small change: if you run into objects in the Mach Speed sections, you no longer lose rings. That... actually makes playing them much more bearable.

Found it really smart how Windy Valley and destroyef Station Square textures and assets were mixed together to try to re-create Crisis City. Goes to show how both are actually real similar if you think about it... got that idea from an OP. I also really like, and don't like how that version of 06 was made TOO smoothly. I like how smooth it felt, but I also think OP tried too hard to make it feel like usual fast-paced games.

Here’s what I think: Rooftop Run: 1950s-1980s City Escape: Early 2000s Speed Highway: Far future Crisis city: Post apocalyptic version of Speed Highway, maybe a century after. You know how in sonic CD sonic could travel back or forward in time if he runs fast? I think that would explain my theory on why speed highway came in a game before city escape. Also in unleashed since he went a lot faster he might have gone back in time. This isn’t really a theory though, I don’t make theories and this is very weak, so take it with a grain of salt as a fun connection to the four stages. Also crisis and speed highway both have tall skyscrapers, which is another link

The Sonic Forces version is just the entirety of modern crisis city from Sonic Generations, but with the robots from Forces; that’s also why it has the OST from Generations. Still, I’ll always appreciate seeing my favorite Sonic stage modded into his other games

I would say that I like how the Generations version of Crisis City actually works as a stage in Sonic Forces. There's plenty of platforming to do in the stage and makes better use of the controls for Sonic Forces, while in the actual stages for Sonic Forces, you're mostly just running in a straight line.
