Hi Gang! I'm very excited to be opening the new set! And finally prices of unopened Pokemon product are going down and I'm seeing many more packs available in stores.

Brilliant Stars is the ninth main Sword & Shield Series expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game and is set to release on February 25, 2022. In Japan, it was released as Star Birth on January 14, 2022 and is the ninth expansion of the Pokémon Card Game Sword & Shield Era. Brilliant Stars consists of cards sourced from the Japanese Star Birth expansion, the Start Deck 100, and the VMAX Climax subset.
The expansion centers on the Alpha Pokémon Arceus, which supports the Pokémon V and new Pokémon VSTAR mechanic. Pokémon VSTAR begin to take the place of Pokémon VMAX from this expansion and, like their predecessors, evolve from a requisite Pokémon V. Each one also has an attack or Ability called a VSTAR Power that, much like GX attacks in the Sun & Moon Series, can only be used once in a game. Other Pokémon supporting the VSTAR mechanic in the expansion include Charizard, Shaymin, and Whimsicott. Brilliant Stars includes a subset of cards named the Trainer Gallery, which comprises Full Art reprints depicting Pokémon alongside a Trainer, a concept last seen in the Cosmic Eclipse expansion. ~ bulbapedia.bul...)

in case you're wondering what the VStar card is at 8:28 you use it for the TCG. The Vstar Pokemon have an ability / attack that can only be used once per game. Once you use it you flip over the vstar card to signify that it has been used.

Actually, last year in March I watched one of your unboxing, and it got me back into the game after not interacting with it for the past 20 yrs haha Hearing your genuine love for the artwork on the cards touched me and I felt like experiencing some of that myself too. It’s crazy to me how different the power of cards are in different card games. Since you can only use one trainer per turn, I think, in Pokémon, Acerola’s Premonition probably isn’t the best but if the card was printed in Yugioh as a spell card and said “Look at your opponents hand and draw a card for each spell in their hand,” the card would be played as a 3 of in every deck and eventually get banned.

Not really, going second it's a dead card in a lot of matchups and most deck are more monster heavy, might be a good side deck card tho. Looking at the hand is a cool bonus effect but playing this blind sound like a gamble with a possible high reward

I've thought about saying this for a while, and I hope you don't misundertsand me @BluewhisperForest, but just I have to compliment you on how lovely your nails are. I know it's silly thing to say but they really are ! especially with black nail polish. I first noticed how well it works in the Vintage Halloween Shop video, a few years back, and I'm hooked. Your hand movements and fingers tapping are so amazing and the black is absolutely gorgeous. You have beautiful hands and fingers !
