When I first heard this live, I could not believe this is played only by the left hand. Incredible performance!

excellent version of this piece. beautiful musicality. for even more sheer energy and excitement, I strongly urge everyone to listen to Simon Barere's live performance though. absolutely masterful!

While I was aware of Felix Blumenfeld as the last of Volodya's three teachers, I had no idea he composed so ingeniously and beautifully. Thanks for introducing me to this piece -- AND this pianist! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Easily one of the best performances of this piece! Sadly it is not as well known as it should be. There are many great pieces for the left hand alone. The main thing that keeps me from trying them is that you need a piano with great sustaining features, and an environment with great acoustics. Without them it just wont sound very impressive. Luckily this guy had both though :-)
