Honestly awful... the first 20 minutes are intriguing, by far the only interesting character is the lady who wants to say yes to a proposal but that is it. Longest 109 minutes.

Art vandaley it’s not as preachy with its message, I’ll give it that but it’s still pretty bloody awful 😂 there’s a point towards the end where you can’t help but question, how the hell did we get here? 😂

I wish blumhouse, miramax, touchstone and bad robot should have produced for this film and instead of all those previous films they should have started making a franchise solely based on this film idea and allowed it the script and plot completion that it needed and put their soul into it.....because this movie was such a iceberg well bomb drop it's sickening how badly mixed up the plot worked out.....they didn't give a complete story, they condensedly blended the character Fate plots and skimmed the karma this movie brought along, notice me senpaii

I would have cast Palin instead of Pena, [I don't have the tilde sorry,] and let him do the full vicar part from his previous comedy. It was about the clergyman who returns to Victorian or Edwardian England, to save fallen women for the church It's a scream of a movie LOL

Maybe it's because earlier this week saw a British horror film called Sacrilege, which really was the definition of rubbish, where it tried to disguise the fact that there was absolutely no horror by underscoring every scene, even shots of treetops, by dramatic music, that I found, by comparison, Fantasy Island's horror update of the TV show perfectly acceptable. If you want to see "utter rubbish" watch a few episodes of the TV series. I liked the fact that they introduced a few twists, so I would say Fantasy Island was the best horror film of the week. To Mark Kermode, try to get some sleep before going to see films you intend to review.
