Fun quick little dive with Al to the Expressway Tunnel. over half of the video was deleted by a computer that crashed.

I remember these springs from my college days. It wasn’t a commercial place back then, you just had to know where it was. There was a spring called Poe’s nearby too and I always wondered if it was connected to the Ginney comple somehow. Beautiful video by the way thanks for that.

Fantastic short adventure. First Spring I ever saw taken there as a kid. It was down a dirt road back into the woods. Pristine Condition, No other people, No stairs, No admission charge, just Nature at its best all to My Dad and Me. The Real Fountain Of Youth in tales of old. Great Photography.

My ginnie springs memory is from 2007. I was at UF and camping for a friend's birthday. As i first pulled out one guy had his knife out threatening another group of guys, swinging it wildly. I went for a swim and dove down into the spring. I accidently brushed up against a young woman's leg as i was surfacing. I apologized to her she got her boyfriend to try and fight me. I really dont like being at places that allow alcohol.

The musical journey of this video took me through preparing for battle to a happy feeling that everything will be alright. While Bluegrass wasn't what I expected when you hit the cave portion, I was definitely down to listen to it. Honestly though, you're going to give an impression that cave diving is fine and dandy, easy when it isn't with that music.

Lol, yup it’s one of my happy places. Most of the time it is very relaxing and enjoyable. Yeah, a lot of people don’t like the blue grass. I think I’m gonna turn the music up a notch on my next video.

I did this one. Freaking awesome! My only warning to everybody is that I really recommend you tie your line (your reel line) off BEFORE the entrance of the cave, because the entrance is very hard to see from the inside. If my wife hadn’t been watching from the entrance and waved to me and partly come inside, then I possibly could have missed it, gotten lost and drowned. It’s probably a slight overreaction because I still had a good amount of air left, but still, make sure that you have a LINE REEL showing the entrance. The first time I did it, I didn’t have a reel, and I’m never gonna make that mistake again lol

The wording in this post tells me you may not have cave training, please, do not enter caves unless trained to do so through a recognized agency and instructor. There is nothing worth dying for in any cave system.

Really love the video! Some great clear footage. Gotta say though, don't you think the first two songs are reversed? The epic Celtic song sounds like it should play as you descend into the underworld and the country sounding bluegrass song when you're in the springs headed there! What is that first song by the way?

Why is it called the devils cave?
@bmcadventures4 жыл бұрын
You know I'm not sure. Sure is scary though :)
@MrRobjs835 жыл бұрын
so I noticed it looked like you exited the cave at Devils Ear which is the middle one correct? And you entered at Devils Eye which is the 3rd one over where there is a current going against you and there is a big log at about the 20 ft range, with the cave enterance at the 50 ft range?
@bmcadventures5 жыл бұрын
We went in the Ear (where the big log is) and exited the Eye. They both have a fair amount of current.
@MrRobjs835 жыл бұрын
ah ok, I wasn't sure which is which. I don't remember the eye having current, thats where the grim reaper sign is. But the 👂 had a strong current you had to fight on the way down, the cave enterance was pitch dark, we just hung out there briefly and went back up. We didn't dive the 1st enterance before the 2 because it looked pretty narrow, not sure what its called, maybe also Devils Eye ?
@downbelow55325 жыл бұрын
Rob S. The first opening in the spring run is little devil and does not connect to the other systems as far as I know. There is a reaper sign in both the eye and the ear as a warning to anyone not cave trained to stay out, there is nothing worth dying win there. The eye is the round entry in the middle of the spring run and is the terminal end of the gold line. The ear is the last entrance in the middle of the river and has two directions that you can go from the entrance, one takes you deeper into the cave system and the other takes you to the eye. There is strong flow throughout the system which makes swimming challenging but definitely worth getting the training to explore.
@MrRobjs835 жыл бұрын
@@downbelow5532 yeah we only encountered strong current in the Ear , they were both cool dives though. We didn't go past the cavern enterance at the 👂, mainly because of the strong current. Do you know how deep Little Devil Spring goes?
@dirtrider884 жыл бұрын
so the little devil is the one thats at the very end furthest from the river? does ginnie connect to any one of the holes by the ear and eye? how deep was that cave/tunnel you were in? Im not a diver but I was there a couple days ago and was fascinated by the whole thing. just wanting to learn more.
