Love your tutorials. Especially the lack of music, much prefur the interesing sped up production noises. Also great editing, snappy and to the point. keep it up.

One of the best instruction videos I've ever seen. No crappy music or jokey chat, quick and in focus and surreal-sounding. Superb.

Hi there! Thanks for this wonderful video! May I ask what kind of plastic you used for the diffuser surface? (Also what thickness and where did you get it?) Thanks so very much! -Madeleine

you could simplify it and use things you have at home. im going to use a cardboard box (someone left a comment about lunchboxes), tin foil around card stock, a flashlight or 2 (putting a hole in the back so that i can stick it into place and be able to turn it off), and maybe more cardstock in the front. I'm going to see if that's too thick though.

Using one of those 4$ flexible led stripes you could've saved much time and they also change color and brightness. Awesome anyway, lovely result. wondering where to find the perfect plastic you've used on the front. Cheers.

Gianluca Aiello the plastic he used is called methacrylate. I'm sure any opaque plexi glass would work though.

DIY KZbinrs could use this video as a 'how to' to produce good videos. Way too many DIY videos feature: i. an overly long intro while some guy explains what he's about to do. We should be able to understand that from the title of the video, if it is properly descriptive. ii. some guy droning on about each step, when all it takes is good camera work of the sort seen here. iii. crisp well-thought camera lighting and camera angles. iv. SPED UP video. Big yes to this -- every video I watch I speed it up. I don't need to see every excruciating detail to get what you're doing. (See iii. above). FWIW, a video shouldn't take more than six minutes to explain/show something unless it's highly technical. Less is more. (Don't get me started on the morons who insist on typing or writing out words on paper to explain what they are doing. We don't need to watch that... or watch you do it on screen and then back-space to correct your typos. Gah!)

I like this video but it kinda defeats the purpose of DIY. With all the tools and materials in this video it would probably be way less expensive to just buy a light box.
@Thepracticalengineer

Often the purpose of projects like this is not for it to be cheaper but to learn and to have made it yourself are often more important.
@MatthewMorse

If you already have all of these tools and you have the box and the lighting, it's very inexpensive to do and is repurposing items instead of throwing them out or buying something else.
