It is amazing how strikingly different the experience of a CAS crew is from those on the ground. We were completely unaware of some things the ground pounders were deep into, while they were probably completely unaware of the dangers we were thwarting from engaging them closely. Is it possible to make a video comparing and contrasting these two worlds in a live side by side or back and forth type of presentation?

Dslyecxi was a platoon commander. He was monitoring multiple channels at once. People on the 1 plt command channel could not hear what was being said on the company channel and vice versa. He could, because he had to communicate on both nets.

I can't help but feel that CSL was partially responsible here. He failed to relay to his vics that friendlies were going to be to the west, as Dslyecxi had asked a few minutes earlier. Of course, that does not in any way diminish Derp's responsibility for not IFFing that truck.

Funny question: How realistic is this? Do these kinds of engagements happen during peacetime? And if so, are there usually this many casualties? I know it's just a game but I can imagine that this kind of thing happens fairly frequently.

the talking in the game from player to player is that built in game or is that moded? always had troubles with setting up speech, love how its pretty realistic in the term of hearing distance...tis cool and in real time.

I know "most drivers think they have to back up to where you initially said halt" isn't 100% accurate, maybe. But I can confirm to see almost every driver do that (in any ArmA video I've seen so far) Some drivers handle this better than others. But most of the time it still happens. Sometimes it's totally fine, since you can't react as fast as you want, so backing up is normal. But sometimes it could ruin someones day. You'll notice this watching medium experienced drivers ;)

I suck at explaining, I'm sorry :D At 9:30 an Alpha Squad member gets left behind, you order your driver to halt, and let him in, as he halts, he backs up almost running him over. Right there and then you could've said to your driver "Don't backup unless I tell you" Which you did at about 24mins. I was trying to tell you to next time be rather safe then sorry, by noticing these minor but life threatening mistakes, and pointing them out before they happen again. I hope this clears things up :)

It's an abbreviation of Armored Assault 2 ARM form armored and A from assault. Arma is also a Latin word from Armada which means an large military force.

I was driving alongside the ammo truck, and it was pretty uneventful up to the moment that we got pounded by charlie. I was even reading a book while driving, I guess it shows that combat zone is always a combat zone..even in the rear.

It comes down to popularity, unfortunately. ArmA isn't a popular game in the mainstream. It's a simulator, and a lot of people don't want that. But in terms of a niche game like ArmA, you're doing very well :) Congrats on your success, you deserve it. When ArmA 3 comes out, you will see a big influx of subscribers, I guarantee. Keep up the great work!

dyslecxi plays in like... 2600 something, by 1600. he cuts it down to make a managable video size (mb). when he cropped the video to fit, he made the sides of the screen fit, but it cut off the bottom and top in doing so. in other videos you can see black bars on the sides, but the top and bottom are not cut off. hope that helped
