Guys, the whole idea of this workshop day is to test potential BMFA examiners as to what to look out for during A and B cert achievement sessions - hence the deliberate omissions and mistakes made by the pilots. Apologies for the wind noise but I'm just a club member and not a pro video bloke so I only made it for those that couldn't attend. The models get serious when they get out of shape and are coming at you!

is it just me or does anyone find it funny that these guys are taking their toys way more seriously than real planes? 😂😂

It's interesting as I am studying to take my "B" but in this video I did not see any Failsafe checks nor did I see a surface movement check under full throttle conditions , the video - BMFA Achievement Scheme Fixed Wing 'B' Test says that these need / should be done. but no one said anything about it in this video .

Good video I leant some useful info for my future B test, shame the wind noise affected the audio

Yes, for my exam I will make sure I use a tiny screwdriver to secure my powerful aerobatic plane.

Any omissions or mistakes were deliberate to stimulate comment from the prospective examiners. Not shown in the video but the pilot did perform a restrained full power surface check before take off.

Failed test of course as both into wind & downwind rolls were to the left (or anti-clockwise)..

Poorly shot, poor audio, poor presentation, no introduction to tell the audience what its about and what will be happening; is this really the best the BMFA can do?

David, it wasn't a BMFA video. One of those present, recorded it for personal use and uploaded it.

Thanks Peter, would be good to see the BMFA produce a good quality A and B test video of this type.
