Because you kill his combo. If the war leader never dies and everything else goes according to plan, he neve comes back, and anyfin only resurrects 8 points of damage, which is not great for 10 mana.

He says it in the video, more or less twice, it's so the anyfin can happen generate one less warleader (which mean les dmg output from the blue gills). There's not that many hard counter to that card; polymorph/hex/polymorph: boar, entomb or counterspell. Everything else (secrets, armor, taunt creatures) is just padding to survive both waves of murlocky death :)

Damien Weyrauch Flame Lance saved my live a few times with this deck. Ragneros/ 7/7 etc. But yeah, it is a bit inconsistent

Not really. Climbing to legend with a control deck takes a much longer time than midrange or aggro unless you get really good win streak, which I doubt this deck will do as it does not appear to be very consistent.

The deck is a damn good time though. I tried an older variant of monkeyrenoyogg and while it may not have been as effective, it made fighting the endless aggro and midrange decks a little less haemorrhage-inducing.

He already had an Ice Block in his deck and most likely he'd draw it anyway when it becomes relevant. Having two Ice Blocks in a matchup that goes to fatigue isn't as good because Ice Block is absolutely irrelevant in fatigue.

Please don't use objectively like that it really does not mean what you think it means. And its control vs control with Reno vs double forbidden healing, very easy to figure that that's a fatigue matchup.

Chrono trigger it's a control matchup. These matchups go to fatigue. The first any fun doesn't even deal enough damage to break a block
