I'm having the exact same issue. Think the tongue stop is preventing it from going out far enough. I might have to modify it with an exacto knife. I've asked them to send me another door. We'll see.

Yes, they FedEx'd me a new door and is working fine now. Took about 2 days to get in. I would call in addition to emailing if you havent already. They were real good about fixing the issue

I found the solution today, there's a thin layer of rubber around the edge of the hatch, if you use an exacto knife and scrape that rubber off the hatch works PERFECTLY.
