This is what I look for in black metal. In my 40s now listening to bm since the late 90s I just can't do the low production 1st wave screeching about Satan anymore. In my opinion black metal has only gotten better with time and and this is top notch

The 1st wave was stuff like Mercyful Fate, Venom and Celtic Frost. The lo-fi screaming is basically the essense of the 2nd wave of the 90's.

I confess that my interest in black metal tends to favour the more moderate varieties. A little heavier now and then, all right. But I prefer comprehensible structures. So to this debut album. @@blackpyreofficial The cover, the name and the title of the album! And after having listened to it, I can say I did indeed really like it! And I would love to get a copy of the CD, but I live in Argentina, and importing things to the country is a major pain in the ass. Also, the government taxes us to no end and we end up paying more than double of what a product is actually worth. Hopefully things might -and let me stress the "might" change next year, so who knows. If there are some copies still lying around somewhere I will definitely buy one if given the chance! P. S.: Sorry for the long-ass response 🤣
