amazing álbum 10/10 BMP (╬▔皿▔)╯ The production of "Shade Of Oblivion" is very good, the songs have ideas, parts and influences that do not make it monotonous. A fairly solid album with a good vocal range, the lush guitar riffs are melodic at mid-tempo that are characterized by virtuosity and originality, you can even appreciate small passages of acoustic guitar. Epic Black Metal that focuses more on Viking metal references are the main elements of the composition. The band's philosophy is to compose and produce music that covers them mentally and spiritually, which is reflected throughout the journey. In addition, this album has the collaboration of "Nodens", drummer of the Black/Death Metal band Prometheus, which gives it a greater musical production in terms of sound and orchestration compared to their previous release "Sailing to the North" where the battery was programmed. The lyrics of some songs have an abstract and descriptive approach. However, there are also lyrics with more specific themes, such as "Nordic Son" and "Digital Blasphemy", which reference the desecration of ancient civilizations and religious proselytism. Furthermore, "Grief of Mortality" deals with the mortality of the human race while "Void of Silence" addresses the sacrifice of so many innocent souls in the Aegean Sea without implying political and partisan implications such as those we despise. Shade of Oblivion is an excellent album from start to finish that contains part of the essence of the BM of the 90s and with these 17 years of dark absence the band has been able to reinvent itself by bringing a solid and forceful álbum.
