Planned Work: Because of Track Replacement, there were no (J) Train Service between Crescent Street and Broad Street. Free shuttle buses provided alternate service between Crescent Street and Myrtle Avenue. (M) Trains provided alternate service running between Metropolitan Avenue and Essex Street, and via the (J) Line to/from Broad Street

I remember a long time ago that Brown M used to go to Bay Parkway during rush hours and on weekends it will terminate at Chambers Street if the J isn't running but those days are no more and now this m train runs via 6 av line from Metropolitan Avenue all the way to Forest hills 71st Avenue.

Oh yeah I did read your description on why does m is running via the J line to broad Street because the J isn't running from Crescent Street to Broad Street so the m took over the J to cover the stops to broad st.
