Sir please answer. Yesterday you said that if the price to book value of a bank is greater than 3 then it is expensive. I have both AU Bank and Equitas Bank in my portfolio with decent gains but the price to book value of AU bank is 6.27 now while that of equitas bank is 2.61. Should I sell AU Bank in that case?

sir during COVID i was 23 years old I was just about to finish my mbbs I was reading about stock market since my first year of college i understood the basics very well by the time COVID hit and luckily I was following safari industries from 2019 i understood the business very well and luckily my dad had 10 lakhs in fd during COVID i told my dad I want to invest in stock market as this is the right time i told i will pay him back with my internship stipend he agreed I am thankful he had faith in me . I bought safari at 350 in one go it was my single stock made 8x sold at 2800 and recently bought nykaa at 124 in one go which i understand very well and invested entire capital made from safari . I like to take calculated risk .

@@deepakjain3384 have faith in management execution after ur proper research conviction is just a gut feeling . safari industries ceo was earlier working in vip he left vip and bought safari and since then safari is gaining Market share coming to nykaa mrs nayar built nykaa in a strategic way without burning much unlike zomato and paytm this shows capital efficiency , management execution skills in a industry where everyone thought burn is must to acquire customers but nykaa proved it wrong . Something even management can't do anything about is inflation, recession, COVID , sudden disruption but great management not only ensure they stay in the game but they make sure to gain market share in bad times + adapt themselves to new changes and every company has life cycle very super fast growth , reasonable growth , matured growth , then decline stage . So as investor we need to know at which stage our company is currently and take decision accordingly . for research u can read con calls , annual report, brokerage reports and have a framework ( like what factors can help company sales to grow , how margins would expand etc )

I use this analogy based on the Archimedes’ quote - “Give me a place to stand and a long enough level, and I will move this world”. I think the long lever is the large principal (investment) one brings to the market. The fulcrum is the knowledge and experience one learns and needs it to generate the returns, this is the most ignored part . The world is the returns from long term compounding.
