The tail pipes look wonky, maybe camera angle and why visible smoke from the exhaust?

The visible smoke is due to it being a diesel engine and the dpf was slightly broken and probably not filtering as well.

Nope didn’t blow a lot of smoke at all, it still had the catalyst in the downpipe, was just a catback system.

@@jordo9367 I have no idea buddy, I have an M240i now. My car (in the video) was actually already sold when I uploaded this video as I always forgot to upload this video. The car was raffled away by the company that bought this off from me and it seems a private plate has been put on it. Yeah them figures should be easy to get, i doubt their will be too much difference between that.

Got the car remapped at BW Chiptune, brilliant custom tuners, I got around or just under 200bhp with 460nm of torque! Ran the car for around 3 years with no problems!

What grade of tint are the lights? Or are they standard?

No tints, these are standard, they’re the Dark/Black Line LCI Tail Lights 👍🏻

They're non tinted and came like that from factory.

@@EMS9729 Yes, i had both the normal LCI and Black Line LCI Lines (ones in the video), they're distinctively different, whereas the normal ones are very normal red, the Black Lines are deep red and look alot better. I would say to either try to tint them to achieve this same effect or do what I did and sell your original lines you have and purchase a set of the Black Lines.

@@M21KEY I agree, the normal LCI lights are really red, these black line lights give of a much better look. I think i will try to tint the lights thats not too dark, so i get the same effect you have. In two weeks im going to pick up a white e82 118d😀

@@EMS9729 Ah nice, it was a great car to have! You can always pick up the car with black lines to begin with, it comes with the LCI cars that are Sport Plus spec but must have the Bi-Xenon lights with the angle eyes 👍🏻

The remap figures are actually before i got the Milltek exhaust. I added the exhaust not long before i got rid of the car. Remapped the car in Feb 2018.

Sounds good man, question its probably diferent in each country but if I buy this Miltek cat-back Exhaust it's technically a legal exhaus right!? than going straight pipe removing all mufflers?

Yup, this is legal, it is only illegal when you remove the catalyst (decat downpipe). Removing mufflers/silencers is all legal, and makes the car louder.

Congrats! This is the ‘Milltek’ Catback Exhaust, it’s a well known exhaust company that make great exhausts, should be able to find them online with a quick google.

I was looking to buy an e82. But since bmw stopped producing them in 2013 its hard to find one low on the mileage. Im scared about buying one with 100.000km, since i heard that the engine has that terrible chain problem... How long have you been having yours for? How many miles does it have? 118 vs 120d? 30hp difference for the european version... Is it that noticable?

I have a e82 with 2.0D from 2008 it has 280k km with the first chain

Sorry for the late reply, but yeah N47's are notorious for their chains to snap, so ideally you will want the later year models as they were slightly revised to be stronger, i would also get a lower mileage if possible and if you can, get the 123d instead as it will alot quicker! My car was fine on the original chain at 73k miles.
