My GF sometimes complains that she can't see around or over my head on the Goldwing. Looking at the BMW, appears that passenger sits much higher. I'd just have to drive one.

It's a deferent type of bikes. Depends of what You like. I like BMW more, it's much more versatile. Goldwing is good only for highways.

GoldWing is actually for the olders, former chopper owners. K1600 is for the retired racers and youngsters... and that gives a feel of the absolute difference. I like BMW as it is not a tourer only, though it is a great tourer, - all the bags are easily detachable, just drive in to a hotel, take all your things with you and enjoy anything you've put in your bags - it's actually a sport bike! Headlights are fantastic - you have a proper view while cornering. And that's not all, guys...

I have the BMW 1600 ktl. Didn't know at the time I bought it that I'd have to buy tires every 6k miles. Holy crap, 6k comes quick. Love it, but I think I've got to downgrade or go broke. 😔

I like the BMW much more, but would buy the Goldwing. The BMW's aren't reliable and have a terrible dealer network. The Honda won't give me any problems, which means I won't need their dealer network. I just wish the BMW had the quality of the Honda, then the decision would be very easy.

100x100 Goldwing. bmw 1600 have too many problems, dont trust in 1600 models: Tires, Electronic, pillow turbulences and weather protection, no diy maintenance at home and in the official bmw is very very expensive... no, definitely not is my future bike. Now i have a k1200gt that runs fine and 155cv is very good. This is my 8 bmw, i am 61 yo.

Bei einem solchen Vergleich kann es doch gar keinen Gewinner geben. Die eine Maschine ist für den amerikanischen Markt und die andere für den europäischen Markt konzipiert. Beide faszinieren, aber nur weil es Sporttourer mit 6 Zylinder-Motoren sind ist nicht ein Vergleich möglich...

so what do you ride mr tgrmann1? I have a K1600GT and do not consider myself any less 'into motorcycles' than when I owned a ZZR, or a blade, or an Aprila RSV, or 2 VFRs. So tell me, what do you consider a 'real motorcycle'? I'm not one for the wing myself, but do not object to those who want one, regardless of their shape, or whether they are tough or not. And since when has good MPG meant you are 'into motorcycles'? fyi - we call them bikes where I come from.

What is this? James Bond, the world is not enough? 1966 Yamaha 125cc,6 cylinder tt racer,1975 Benelli 6 cylinder, 750cc, Honda ran with the CBX series, 6 cylinders,and now this I.T. somewhat flat 6,why? Why not Diesel? I've got to ask. Even for a daily rider.I'm sure I'm not the only one, am I? I still have my 1984 GL1200 I, waterbox flat 4. She'll pull 185 in 9.2 seconds. In 31 years she's had 3 Batteries (Interstate), lot of tires Continentals (45,000 miles each set), money well spent. Always ran the highEST test available, and lightest oil. Filters and oil are cheap. She's been back to the shop she came from 3 X in 31 years.Other wise it was me. When I bought her I was 21. Everyone asked why do you want an "OLD MAN'S" Bike? Can a crotch rocket beat me off the line? Yep! but in 3 seconds I'm in front of him,sitting on a sofa seat, having a smoke, and listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd's' Sweet Home Alabama, and I look in the rear view, and their shaking their heads in disbelief. Well it's 31 years later and I am "the old man" 52 (really not that old) I met a 71Y/O gut the other day on a KTM 1190. So I'm hoping for a few more years of fun. Keep your fingers crossed for me! Remember a biker is anyone who puts their face in the wind. Follow my father's first. Rule. #1, Never let anyone DRIVE your bike,but YOU, MAN or WOMAN! They'll walk away and you'll have shit! OK here is #2, Always have your head in the GAME!!!!!

I didn't realise I was here for a lesson in communism. I do object to plenty, but choice of bike isn't high up on the list (other than HDs!) the 6cylinder bike isn't new anyway (CBX1000 Z1300 spring to mind). So how tough are you then? It seems important to you. What do you want from us all? Surely if you're happy with it, then that's enough isn't it?

I have to say that people who buy either of these behemoths are not really into motorcycles. They are more into status, prestige, wealth, impressing the neighbors. These are more like cars on two wheels. Real motorcycles, and the real folks who ride them, are about good MPG, being in good physical shape, about being tough. These bike represent just the oposite.

これはインプレッションではない。 ただのイメージビデオだ。 敢えて言えばＧＷの後席に乗っている女性は車体が跳ねるたびにびくびくしている。停止してからも動けない（後から着いたＧＴＬの後席女性の方が笑顔でリラックスしている）ので、後席では車体から感じる安定性が希薄なんだろう。 一方のＧＴＬは並走して流し撮りをしている際に乗っているケニーとやらの肘と肩の萎縮具合を見るとよほど低中速域での安定性がないのだろう（この時はＧＷで固まっていた女性がＧＷを運転しているが、実にリラックスして乗っているのが、肘や肩のリラックス具合で分かる。いずれも0:21辺りの映像より）。 と推測できる。 まぁ、いい面は逆を見ればいいわけだが。。。 こういったカタログに載っている以外の自身が感じった特徴を、言葉や文字で正しく説明できないのならばジャーナリストや編集長を名乗らないでいただきたい。 もしくはインプレなどとタイトルに書かないで頂きたい。 おとなしく他媒体のライダーさんをやってください。
