Went to test drive an X1 Sport but when I saw the 2 series Gran Tourer it was game over,I ordered the 220d Gran Tourer 190 BHP 4wd Automatic and can't wait for it to be delivered in April. I agree with one person who said about the Ford S-Max but it is not available in 4wd with an automatic gearbox only manual, I previously had a Kuga with a Powershift 6speed gearbox that changed gear when it felt like it but the 8speed Automatic in the BM is an absolute gem.

I have just got a 220D Xdrive auto Lux Active Tourer having had a Q3 before! It's a great car but I think the Q3 was much easier for useability, for example you have to lift the armrest up to plug your seatbelt in if you are wearing a coat, and every time you get in, you have to put it in eco, switch the stop/start off, and get the range left back on! Just my preferences though. Go's like stink if you want it to, and economy is great in eco mode! Oh and you have to switch the reversing screen off manually when you put it back in drive, apart from these little things I love it, loads of space in quite a smaller car!

I own the 225 xe amazing car! Was a vw group car fanatic until this car was released. You get GTI class performance in Sports mode. Economy is 2.2 litres of petrol per 100 km

I like how people will pay the premium for this over a C4 Picasso. The Picasso is better looking, cheaper, probably better to drive, and probably just as well built... But it has the "wrong" badge. Urgh.

They are made for people that just want to get from A to B and don't give a F@&% about comfort, build quality and the driving aspect of it. I guess you owna french car because you don't give a f@&% about the things mentioned here or you just don't want to spend a lot on a car, but don't ever say that french cars are better than german cars, because there isn't better cars on the planet than the german ones.

EditingVision Hahahahaha okay, yeah I own a French car. But you clearly know nothing about them, yes they're cheap. But they generally have a brilliant chassis as well as being super comfortable. German cars are good, but give me a small light french hatchback over most German cars every day of the week. I'd rather have fun then look like a knob with my BMW badge.

For an MPV it´s well resolved, but a little too boring IMO. As a BMW it´s difficult to relate to, but yea well it´s quite understandable that BMW wan´t a bite of that market. Somehow I actually find this better in it´s own way that the GT series - but do I desire it?, do I want one? - it´s both a No. It´s just another everyday family car and it does not tick any car enthusiastic boxes - I would rather have an i3, at least that car has a statement and does not look like anything else.

expensive? tesla model x will not have service costs as it is simply an electric engine. you only have to pay pennies to charge it. companies like BMW, Mercedes, Ford and Toyota make most of their money by servicing cars i.e. repairing cars. Tesla has almost zero maintenance costs. In America the media tried to create huge amount of bad press for Tesla. The established dealers and service centres have tried to ban Tesla from selling cars directly to the consumers.

hyylo don't you remember the whole thing about some Teslas just randomly catching fire? No car is service free. I have nothing against Tesla, I think they make awesome cars but it just makes no sense to compare one to this. Imagine you option up the BMW to £30k and the Model X starts at £50k and can be optioned to over £70k (at least here in England) Even if you 'only' added £8K in options like on the BMW, how many years do you think it would take to recoup the £23k (since you're factoring in the £5k gov't grant). My point simply is that more expensive = more expensive. Comparing the Model X to the X5 or something would make sense, but not to a FWD 2 Series

You have a valid point however Tesla has fixed the issue by placing a titanium plate under all Tesla cars free of charge. Please note that there is an interview by the founder of Tesla (Elon Musk) where he explained how the media have criticised Tesla for 3 fires but in the same period have not mentioned the fact that in America in the same period there where hundreds of fires by the other automakers including Lexus, BMW and Mercedes.
