At 5:42. The one with the regular navigation was a 2013 model not a 2014 because the iDrive controller was small and the 2014 is big because it’s a touch pad. Also the 2014 iDrive would have red bars for the menu selection.

330 has a tank of an engine and is a blast to drive, 328I is alright a little bit faster but not as much fun but you do get more modern equipment

Would the x drive(awd) counter part be considerably more powerful in either the 328i or 335i?

The X drive models have the same engine setup so they make the same amount of power, however the x drive version of both models are noticeably faster from 0-60 due to better grip when they launch. For example my RWD 335i does 0-60 in 4.7s while the x drive 335i does it in 4.4s. The AWD BMWs are a little more prone to reliability problems however, since the front transfer case adds more complexity to the cars and they have different front suspension, oil pan and a few other things that can be an added repair cost if they go bad. Lmk if you have any other questions!

@@seizethespeed yes its faster from 0-60 but its noticeably slower after 40mph and also the fuel consumption is more because its heavier than normal rwd model

Which engine is more reliable n55 or N20 ?

I personally think that N55 is more reliable due to it not having any catastrophic failure points like the timing chain on the N20

328 f30s made in mid 2015 don't have timing chain issues lol they upgraded them in the lci model 328s. I do plan on getting any of the three models between a 2015 and up 328, 330 or 335.

Thanks for the info! Id say go for a 330i if your budget allows or find a clean low mileage 335i, it would probably still outlast the 4 cylinders as BMW has been making straight sixes forever.

I’m coming up on 2 years of ownership and the BMW has been solid! I’m still on the stock plastic charge pipes which I should probably change soon but the car has been great!

From my experience and I’ve been hearing, the N20 engine has the notorios timing chain problems so I’d say overall the 335i is more reliable. If you want a 328i I think they fixed that issue after 2016 or just get a 330i to eliminate the N20.

Couple grands for folding mirror when you lock HAHA! Bimmercode brother i did it myself for 50$. Unless you have just a solid side mirror assembly thats the first time I heard about that

Trust me I've done the research. Many F30s dont come with the folding mirrors so no motor, no switch and no wiring. A few people have done the full retrofit but to me its not worth the money or tearing up my car just to auto fold the mirrors Lmao, Thanks for watching!

Probably because his is 2012, I have a 2013 328i with folding mirrors but not when I lock/unlock. I used BimmerCode and like you said & coded the comfort access to active and totally works fine. Shame he can’t do it

The N20 and N26 engine are almost exactly the same. N20 is the ULEV and N26 is the SULEV (super ultra low emission vehicle) version. N26 was sold in places like California with strict emissions regulations. Thanks for watching!
