Unbelievably beautiful. I remember when this car came out in 1986. I was a kid and we spotted one in navy blue on a parking lot. My parents had to take three pictures with me and the car. I still have these pictures.

Had an E34 and thought it was the best car, until I owned an E32. E34 was still great, but an E32 with manual is totally different. Had to go to Germany to get my hands on one. I will keep this E32 car until I am dead.

M RO my dream to own those three they are imo the best 7/5/3 class. And I would need an 8series aswell (E31). Engines would be E30 325i (because 6 cyclinder), E34 540i because V8, E32 either 740i or 750i (V12) and E31 has to be V12 850csi

You'd be surprised how many there are with very few miles, sub 40,000 miles. I have seen a few for sale. Practically new. One 750iL goes from collector to collector, has around 11,000 miles I believe.

It doesn't matter that it has 11k miles. It will lack the brand new bmw smell from the 90s. The plastic and rubber would still age. Don't ask me how I know it, it was painfull expirience with one of the features of the E32 the adjustable windshield wiper pressure. Even the brand new spare part was manufactured years ago and the plastic gears of the reductor are aged and brittle. I have few E30s and E32 and E38. I've seen like 2-3k km E30s that looked factory new. But they also had alot of rubber and plastic replaced during the years.

ac0rpbg don’t get me started on the inferior grade plastic used in these cars. Such a letdown to see parts like the alternator tubing start to crack as soon as you take it out of the bag! I wish I could experience what mine smelled and felt like when new...

Das war einmal! Qualität bei BMW. Heute werden nur noch Billigheimer in einem schönen Outfit produziert. Steuerketten im Fahrraddesign die schon zum Teil bei 80.000km den Geist aufgeben usw.

Kann mich noch errinern als Bangle noch Chefdesigner war und der "Hasenstahl" 7-er neu war, habe ich bei BMW München im Zentrallager und habe einige neue geplatzte V8 Triebwerke gesehen, die direkt in den Entsorgungscontainer landeten...// ich war sprachlos...

Tommy Gun ...tust Du nur so, oder verstehst den Zusammenhang nicht ?! oder ist dir gerade langweilig // nicht das die entsorgt wurden hat mich gewundert, sondern weil die Motoren neu waren ( noch keine 50.000 km. ), grosse V8 4.4 L mit kapitaler Motorschaden....// zum Vergleich mein Daihatsu Cuore 1 L. 3 Zylinder hat 160.000 km drauf...ich habe welche gesehen ( wie meiner ) mit 290.000 km...das ist der Unterschied..verstehst ?!?

@@ProfCalculon Der Tommy ist einfach anders begabt. Der Bangle hat eine ganze Ära geprägt. Ab da war auch im Design klar, dass die Buchhalter mit ihren Ärmelschonern nun den Takt in der Entwicklung angeben. Was bin ich froh noch in einem E32 750il groß geworden zu sein. Dieser Ledergeruch, Laufruhe und gefühlt unendliche Kraftentfaltung, wenn Pap mal wieder den Pin auf der A3 Richtung Süden gedrückt hat. Später dann E38 740i und E46 330Ci selber gefahren - ich will keine dieser Erfahrungen mehr missen und habe tiefstes Mitgefühl mit denen, die solche Autos nur noch aus der Youngtimer-Rubrik irgendwelcher Facebookseiten kennen. Zu der Kategorie zähle ich ebenso den W140 und W124 sowie den kleinen Bruder den 190er. Schöne Zeit, tolle Autos und alles war irgendwie eine ganze Ecke friedlicher.

I noticed it too! I don't like US-SPEC. I prefer EUR-SPEC because here in Brazil we follow the European standard. Km / h and horse power (CV).

Mega 😍 Da wurde in Deutschland noch für den Internationalen Markt gebaut. Bei 1.07 min für die Franzosen, bei 1.20 min für die USA und bei 2.10 min für Großbritannien. Alles Made in Germany. Das gibt es heute schon lange nicht mehr. Selbst die Zulieferer kommen immer mehr aus Asien. Hauptsache billig.

Frage mich, wo die Entwicklung sich seit 40 Jahren versteckt hat? In der Qualität kann sie nicht verschwunden sein. Vielleicht in unnötigen Features für Erwachsene Männer und Frauen, die schnell kaputtgehen, nicht mehr repariert werden können und dann keine Freude mehr machen, bis man sie samt dazugehörigem Wagen auch schnell wieder entsorgt?
