I bought this for my BMW 2019 Z4, the wire came with the C plugs, I attached them was this an error? Your video does not go over the exact location for those plugs. Can you please update it?

Yeah I have the same issue with my 2020 bmw 330i

You ever figure this out? I looked up where the camshaft sensor was as that seems to be what the C harness is for in other cars and the plug fit, so I plugged in there. I want to make sure that was the correct thing to do. It is beyond ridiculous to send a harness with A, B, and C plugs and only include instructions for A and B. Instructions manual needs to be updated.

@@PsychByte It's now 2024 and I have this same issue. I was afraid to connect the C plug wires because the instruction say nothing about it. So, until i hear otherwise, I just removed the entire device and went back to stock. I don't want to risk damaging my car since this C cable goes to the crank shaft censor. But they don't use this cable at all? Seems like for the money spent, they could make a wire harness with just the A & B cables only to be use so it's less confusing if C is not used at all. Please let me know what you did?

So if I go for an oil change at BMW while my car is under lease, I can just unclip the racechip module and pop in the deactivation plug?

Yes, you can do that or completely remove the unit and harness from the engine bay. It is up to you. If you are worried about the dealership giving you any issues, I would suggest unplugging it completely.

Could you let us know why there is a difference from this engine to mine which is also a G20 late 2020 model. I purchased the Racechip for the 320I Sport but the connectors are different and the first one isn't in the position shown in the video.

when you say deativate the alarm do you mean pull a fuse or something trying to do my volvo and confused the alarm will ativate when i lock the doors? wouldnt it be better just to disconnect battery

Yes you can disconnect the battery. The other way to do this is discussed in the video. Close the doors, roll up the windows, pop the hood, lock the car, move the keys about 30-50 feet away and wait no less than 10 minutes, this will be enough for the installation purpose.

@@User37621 Hey! I haven't had that car for a while, but while debating all these options I think I concluded there is functionally no difference. Tune away. The box tunes available currently are very mild and the subtle differences between b46 and b48 are mild at best.

The B20 has different injectors so you can not achieve the same powerlevels

@@brapler these are 2 quite different engines... b48b20b can deliver in stock 250hp, which is BMW 330i. b48b20a only goes to 320i. Engines have different pistons, compression, cooling system

@@GucciGogglez I would check with your warranty contract to see if adding a piggy back unit will void it. Do note, since we are a piggyback unit, if you spend a few minutes to remove the RaceChip before you take it in for service, the mechanic or technician will have no idea that the RaceChip was ever installed.
