Bara för att det var en BMWägare så gjorde du helt rätt. Hade det varit ett bilmärke som uppför sig i trafiken så kunde jag vara hjälpsam. idag så är bmw och tesla de värsta på vägarna!

Fattar inte alla som gnäller så mycket på BMW-förare. Även om dom bilarna tyvärr är populära bland ett visst klientel, som vi såg i denna video - så är det ju ändå inte så ofta man lider av det när man är ute och kör. En del Tesla-förare som sitter och "sover sig fram med autopiloten" är ju dock inte så kul. Men dom flesta som gnäller på BMW, Audi, Mercedes, hantverkarskåpbilar etc., är antagligen riktiga vägsniglar själva, som inte har någon som helst förståelse för att andra vill köra snabbare och tycker alla som vill om är "stressade idioter". Såna som ligger och fiskör i vänsterfilen på motorvägar och 2-filigt på 2 + 1-vägar (i samma eller nästan samma fart som dom i högerfilen), sen gnäller på att folk bakom (där kan ju BMW vara överrepresenterade, haha) inte håller avstånd eller att dom blir omköra till höger... Eller dom där mesarna som svarar med några arga helljusblink när man drar förbi dom i 130+ km/h på en öppen bred landsväg (om man har bra sikt och ser att det inte kommer mötande, inga infarter där dom man kör om kan tänkas svänga etc. kan man ju köra om direkt - utan att behöva sakta ner innan passagen). Sen var det ju det där med att t ex blinka i rondeller - visst, det slarvas det ju lite med det och där kanske BMW är sämre än snittet. Men så farligt är det ju ändå inte egentligen. Man ser ju oftast rätt bra där ändå vart folk är på väg där på hur dom placerar sig mm När det gäller vilka som går ut i vänsterfilen (väldigt ofta också utan att ens blinka där heller) i allt mellan 70 och 120 km/h utan att kolla i backspeglarna (så man får bromsa kraftigt), för att sen inte gasa på, som sitter och vinglar med mobilen mm, så är det ju snarare Volvo, Kia, Nissan, Toyota osv. som är värst - särskilt SUV-modellerna, haha. Taxichaufförer över lag brukar också va ganska illa. Här i Stockholm på kvällarna, ligger dom oftast bara för sig själva och såsar i 70-90 i vänsterfilen - även när vägen är tom. Man får dra förbi dom på högersidan

What are your feelings about the situation? In my mind you can't block or book a large part of the parkering area. And certainly not the area several meters behind your car... That it would be "my" parking space is of course debatable 😅 But really dislike when people come with an attitude right away or try to force their way through. If he had kids with him, asked nicely or something like that...I personally would have felt differently.

Here in Germany, if you see a parking space available or opening up and set your turn signal, the spot is, by law, yours! We even have court rulings about that! In Germany it would've been YOUR parking space! So i don't see a problem with your behaviour.

When I had a bmw I went out of my way to be nice to other motorists because I dont want to be a dick or seen as a dick. I think there are 2 kinds of bmw drivers, those like me who buy the car because they are so good to drive, then there are the entitled people who buy the car because of the image.

Don't get in a dispute over a parking space. My sister and another driver argued over who should get a space. My sister was better placed, drove into the spot and went shopping. She came back to find that her tyres had been slashed while she was away from the car.

You do that in Germany you will pay for the damages, including spare car, loss of earnings, the whole nine yards..... plus you get fined and/or serve community service for a few hours and sometimes, when that wasn't your first run-in with the law about these things might get a few days of prison. And with smartphones with built-in cameras (to take a picture of "the loser") and dashcams on the up and up you might wanna think twice about that..... Some people lost their driving licence and their jobs over these reactions....

This sort of thing used to happen a lot when I lived in California but I am sad to say I have seen it here a few times now. I think it is good to catch it on camera, and at least to call it out as "unusual" in hopes that people can behave a little better. No I do not think you did anything wrong; when it becomes confrontational and the person tries to threaten or bully their way into a parking spot then it is probably best to stand your ground. But I am in no way a professional. After a drive yesterday and "declining" two offers for collision, I think its time to put the camera back in the car! I am not sure what is happening but I guess maybe just many more people in the same places now versus before. I am not sure.

Gjorde samma utan för bolaget såg en bil backa å tog platsen samtidigt såg jag en annan bilist backa bakåt han trodde han skulle få tag i platsen. Efteråt stirrade han på mig inne på bolaget trodde nästan han skulle börja slåss

The BMW was already reversing before you came around the corner. In my opinion , they have the right of way on the spot. However , I am not sure what the etiquette is in your country for this situation. If they are an inexperienced driver. Maybe they need lots of room to back up safely.

He first stod still (you can just see it in the start) but then throw it in reverse. If it had been an opening infront of him, then sure...I would say it would be his. But now he is reversing "against" traffic and blocking the area. But, that is just my opinon...not sure if any laws controll situations like this.

The reversing car probably tells the truth. He was standing a bit further down waiting for a spot then an other car come around the corner trying to take the spot he's was waiting for. BMW driver says "You saw me sitting over there and waiting" but the video uploader didn't care to translate that.

@@truckdriver1982 I don't say anyone is in the wrong here, their is no rules at a parking lot, you can stand still observe your surroundings for someone nearby to grab their car, or your can move around like you probably did. But you obviously think you where more entitled to the parking lot then him otherwise why upload the video? Was it because you where driving forward and he was reversing? Who has waited the longest? Maybe you should tell everyone the rules...

I understand that people have different opinions on who has the best claim to the parkingspace. The movie is more about how he and the family handle the situation...that is for me the entertaining part and why I did upload it.

I find it better not to argue over a parking spot. It would not be nice if he came back and the nice wheels on his BMW where not on his BMW and that is what could happen in the USA if you argue with the wrong person. I use to have a 4 wheel drive truck with a snow plow on it that I drove into the city for 4th of July fireworks. It was old and dented and no one argued when I drove into an area, it was nice not having arguments the plow spoke well.
