Mod's are an m20 which can be found in an e34 525i or an e30 325i. That put a diesel crank in them and stroke it out to a 2.8. The stock single cam m motor puts out 168 ponies.

Hello Thomas, great video. I used to have this car for 20 years resting in peace. Last year i have decided to bring it back to the road. The engine head was corroded and i have replaced it by the E30 head which looks the same. Now it runs but it is slower than before. (I think it has to do with the compression ratio) Do you have any idea how to give some more power? Thanks

Great cars but you have to polish your driving technique, especially with the sport (short-ratio) gearbox: - 1:41 you can't take that curve on fourth, downshift earlier. - 1:48 on second it would be much faster + drifting. I have a 323i 5-speed "Schongangetriebe" and have driven the Sportgearbox. Trust me downshift earlier. Grüsse daheim
