Watching someone Heel-toe and listening to them heel-toe from out of the car are two of the best things in the world

Too bad the camera position or the FOV angle make it look like it's slow although it's not ! Pedal cam is a nice bonus. Reminds me of best motoring videos !

Awesome!! Love the footwork cam. Question. You were downshifting without breaking at 4:51 right?

Dog box? Noticed the double clutching.

Is doing two laps of shortened GP track procedure, or did you just do it to get some more temperature into the tyres? Or timing - from first crossing the line after short outlap?
@BTGDale9 жыл бұрын
Kind of procedure: I can warm the tyres a little, check everything is ok, and it's not so far to pits if I want to change anything:)

Question for people who know anything about AC Shnitzer. I have a MOMO AC Shnitzer steering wheel, 4 spoke wood and metal, if its worth anything I might sell it.

Why double clutch and heel and toe at the same downshift?
@777MAV9 жыл бұрын
felipegames12 by releasing clutch between double pushes you're connecting engine to gearbox input shaft. at the same time you should be pushing throttle to match revs for lower gear and your gearbox should be in neutral. So, by doing this you not only rev matching engine to lower gear, you also accelerating gearbox input shaft using engine rather than synchros. This may help you if your syncros are worn or you don't have any or if your gearbox is massive like big old truck. And also it's fun :)

Double clutching because it's an older car?
@PaddyMcQueen9 жыл бұрын
shit clutch maybe xD
@BTGDale9 жыл бұрын
***** Force of habit in older, manual, cars. Plus the 'work' cars are all paddle-shifts now, so I enjoy driving the E30 old-school.

Vega Rapidus I was thinking about bad/worn synchros?
@EastingAndNorthing9 жыл бұрын
BridgeToGantry Ah, I understand. I've been used to a little more modern cars that don't need any double-clutching, so I was confused :)
@franzwer11039 жыл бұрын
***** I think it just saves the synchros. Especially when you shift into low gears at relatively high speeds, you put a lot of stress on the synchros, which will wear out soon. So double clutch downshifting isn't really necessary in an E30, but it saves the tranny from unnecessary wear.

this is shit engine! a bmw e30 must be or m20 engine or s54 engine
@TekamsTheOne7 жыл бұрын
There is no such thing as shit engine, only shit setup, and if you cant set up an engine right or dont have the money to, then dont talk shit about other peoples engine with 1- probably outperform yours and 2- took more time then just swaping out the engine. all in all dont be a dick and respect others work
@wineshghazi53147 жыл бұрын
Bro shut up man talk a lot of non sense every engine is good just depends on the driver. A 318is is a beast for what it is thats a 4 cyl engine which with the proper tuning and strenghtening can be a real mean machine. just like @tekamstheone said
