I really appreciate how carefull you're when drifting on public roads. I often see people driving ruthlessly and having a lot of close calls with other people on the road, who are just trying to safely get somewhere. Huge respect to have spotter in the front and always checking your blind spot before starting something, that could put other drivers in danger. Keep it up! :)

Nice car,nice skills but you cant risk yhe safety of others for your hobby...You see or cant predict the oncoming traffic from the opposite direction...Are you sure your drift will end good or wont get caught in a car crash?Get to a racetrack woth a safely inspected vehicle and do your thing...Continuously trying to drift here and there is like asking for dangerous endings...And that aint good...As much as i like cars and the particular one myself...Be well and respect others more...

I see some use e brake with clutch and some only use clutch. Can someone explain really quick if there’s a difference? Edit: I’m assuming e brake is for sharper or more abrupt turns? Better control of the slide?

Well, first of all, when driving a rwd car, you need to use the clutch when engaging the handbrake to prevent stalling the engine. Clutch kicking helps create wheelspin by revving the engine with the clutch pressed and then releasing it to spin the rear wheels. The handbrake however, is mostly used to start a drift before a corner so that you already enter the corner sideways… and it can also help slow down the car or extend a slide.

It's not a garagistic one but it's quite similar. Feels alright but you need to get used to it 😆. Car is not mine tho, this is my friend driving. I've only driven it a couple of times.

I can't understand why you clutch kick it, Im with m52b25 and never used the clutch when am sliding

Well, you can do it without, but clutch kicking gets the rear end out quicker and prevents understeering out of the hairpin. The corners here are pretty tight. Without a clutch kick, it takes a second or two to build up speed and revs before the tires lose traction. By then, you're too far into the corner, and it just becomes a powerslide.

+ we actually run decent tyres and also the incline is way steeper than it looks on the video… if we compare the same corner on a flat ground there is no need for a clutch kick👍😁

If you're referring to the sound you hear at rev matching, it's the sound of air passing through the throttle body.

​@@johndekijk Yep, that's what I meant. It's the throttle body opening, causing that hissing sound. It's the most obvious when you are just slightly pressing the throttle and the throttle body opens partially. The air is moving through it and it creates this hissing sound.

The car hasn't been on a dyno yet, so I'm not sure of the exact horsepower. But it feels much faster than my E46. We did a pull in 2nd and 3rd gear with both cars, and the E36 was clearly quicker. Since my stock E46 has 231hp, I'd guess this E36 has around 250hp.

Well the original engine is rated at 231hp, so with the mods that this car has and how it feels compared to my E46 we are guessing it has around 250hp.
