You skipped the main part to remove the door...poking around does not show me how.

I know this is an old comment but you basically have to remove the seatbelt trim then the black strip around the door panel and then start tugging at the handle then pry where these two indentations show at the right side of the door trim with a trim tool and then pop that part out and then start to slide the door panel out towards the right. I’ll probably post some more details somewhere on the internet

I have the same problem here. How to open your door trim when the door is closed ?

Sorry, I missed the notification. It is at 2:30 or so in video. You have to pop the clips from inside and pull on the trim. It requires quite the strength to do so, but that is how i did it

@@mateszabo4971 its okay mate. i watched your video several times, but i still dont get it. Which trim do you pull ? door trim or the chrome thingy trim ? i dont understand how to open the door trim while the door is closed. I missed the big picture here :(

@@chohyosasongkoaji1921 The door trim comes off together with the chrome. The chrome is just decoration, does not do anything. After popping the clips on top side, i pulled on it as at 2:40 and it came off

when all the clips are realised, and you pull the doortrim. will the doortrim torn apart ? considering you cant reach that screw in the air grill. This is my biggest concern

@@chohyosasongkoaji1921 Ah, okey i understand. The trim at the airgrill screwpoint will crack for sure. Not much that can be done about that. It is not visible though, so should not cause any issue

Easier way is to disconnect the battery first and go inside then get to work. u have to pull the leather panel behind the door lever @2:33 withe airbag logo (just glue it back after) remove the air bag which is secured with 3 screws , unhook the orange connection and then u can access the inner part where ur able to pull the cable or reach for the actuator itself. IF ur having a hard time or have big hands u can loosen the door panel and push it back to give u more room to work on. Good luck

But does it work the same for the outside door handle .. that’s where my problem is.. it opens from the inside but not the outside on my drivers door.. quite aggravating.

If you can open the door from inside, you can remove the screw from the air channel. The rest of the process is the same.
